I’ll admit, probiotics are a relatively new thing for me. For most of my life, I had never even heard of them… and now it’s such an important part of how I stay healthy! I take a Probiotic Supplement every morning (Florastor works great for me) to boost my immune system, strengthen my digestive balance, and maintain my normal balance of intestinal flora/promote intestinal health. Probiotics are considered the “good” bacteria that help your body break down the non-digestible components of your diet so that you can fight the “bad” bacteria in your gut. Important stuff, huh?
In addition to supplements, there are also probiotic foods and drinks that you can incorporate into your diet. Yogurt, high quality dark chocolate, sauerkraut, miso, kimchi… but can you guess my favorite? KOMBUCHA! DUH. If you follow me on ANY social media account, you probably guessed that one real fast. ? For me, the only real issue with that bubbly fermented drink is the price. For others, it’s the acquired taste, especially bright and early in the morning.
But we’re in luck! Tropicana has released an affordable Probiotic drink that is the perfect addition to any morning. These juices have no added sugar or artificial flavors, but they DO have a billion live and active cultures, and come in three awesome flavors: Strawberry Banana, Pineapple Mango, and Peach Passion Fruit. Boooom. Plus, they’re absolutely delicious.
I’m not usually an OJ person in the morning, but these Tropicana Probiotics juices give me an extra oomph that regular juice doesn’t. I’ve even started adding a little bit to my smoothies if don’t want to drink it straight. The flavors (especially the Pineapple Mango) are amazing in a green smoothie. So bright and fresh!
Being “healthy” can seem like such a broad topic, but I love that adding probiotics to your routine specifically helps your GUT health. At least for me, doing something good for a specific part of my body feels a little more proactive… Like I’m really contributing to my health instead of just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best! (We’ve all done that before, right?)
