Happy Saturday, friends! (sorry this is a day late!) I’ve been getting a ton of questions about my makeup recently, which has been both super flattering and very surprising for me. I’ve never considered myself a makeup expert, but I have tried out a LOT of products over the years – and while I’m still always trying new things, these 10 are my absolute favorites.
I’ll admit that these aren’t the ONLY products I use, but this list is everything I can’t live without. You won’t see a foundation on this list because I really haven’t found one I love. And obviously I have hair brushes and eyeshadows and lipsticks in every shade possible – but I wanted to narrow down the list to the things I actively purchase again AS SOON as they run out. Come on, you know that panicked feeling ?
The 10 Best Beauty Products I Own
Bioclarity Cleanse Face Wash – $9.95
Earlier this year, I tried out Bioclarity’s Essential Routine for a collaboration… and I completely fell in love. While all 3 products in that set are great, the “Cleanse” face wash is my favorite. It’s gentle, it gets makeup off really well, and I don’t think I’ve ever found a face wash that makes my skin feel as good as this one does. Just placed an order for 2 more!
PS. If you want to try the whole routine instead of just the face wash, use my code LAKESHORE for 50% off your first order!
This stuff is straight up GOLD. I’ve always struggled with dark under eye circles, and it only got worse when I became a bit of a workaholic the past few years. I had tried SO many different concealers, I was starting to believe that my bags were just a lost cause. And then this concealer came along! It’s brightening, it goes on smooth without creasing, it stays on all day… it’s just the best. Period.
A lot of the products on this list may seem obvious, but this one totally came out of nowhere for me. I received it in a press package and honestly thought I’d never use it. I mean, who is actually going to put an eye primer on every day? Well, turns out this cream to powder formula works great as an eyeshadow on it’s own and brightens up my whole face. This shadow + my concealer + eyeliner = my go to eye makeup routine!
You know when your eyeliner looks great at the beginning of the day, but then you look in the mirror later and there are black smudges under your eyes? That is the story of my life with pretty much every eyeliner on the market – except this one. I’m not going to pretend I know the science behind it… all I know is that it stays put, and that makes it my favorite eyeliner ever.
If I’m being completely honest, this one isn’t as “life changing” as a lot of other products on this list. I have short lashes that don’t hold a curl at all – and this mascara doesn’t change that. So why is it on my list? Well, I absolutely HATE when mascara clumps on my eyelashes, makes them feel heavy, or smears my lower lashes together. This one feels really light because it works to separate the lashes. Plus, the brush is small enough to get the lower lashes without giving myself a black eye. Woo!
Burt’s Bees Natural Brow Pencil – $9.99
Sometimes I feel like I’m on the only woman in the world who doesn’t wax, microblade, or whatever else to her eyebrows. I just go at up with a good old fashioned tweezer… and then fill them in with this brow pencil! I like this pencil better than any of the others I’ve tried because it’s very easy to apply, while still looking natural. It’s a simple formula, the brush makes it easy to blend, and it feels completely normal. I’ll never forget a filler I tried once that made my eyebrows feel stuck on my face… I can’t handle stuff like that! ?
Blush is one of my favorite makeup products, because I can feel terrible – and a swipe of blush makes me look alive and rosy again! I particularly like this one better than any others because the colors are really pigmented and fresh, and it’s buildable, so you can make yourself as natural or glamorous as you want. I love Bellini Brunch (bright and coral) and Pink Me Up (pink and girly).
I went most of my life thinking that you could use the same brush to apply everything ? Turns out using a brush specifically for blush makes a HUGE difference! Who knew?! Love love love this one.
Ecotools Perfecting Blender Duo – $6.99
I know everyone loves the Beauty Blender, but that is $20 for one, and both of these only cost $9.99 (on sale for $6.99 right now!). After using both, I really think the Ecotools sponges work just as well – and who doesn’t like saving a little money?
You know when you want some color on your lips, but you don’t want to wear lipstick? This lip balm solves that problem… and then some! The formula reacts to the chemistry of your lips to enhance their natural color. In other words, your lips get their own custom color, while also getting tons of moisture. It is literally in my purse at all times – I never want to be without it!
