4th of July BBQ
Can you believe it’s 4th of July Weekend already?! I feel like summer just started… but I’m also not complaining 🙂 4th of July is always such a fun weekend – especially when good food and drinks are involved! If you’re hosting a party this weekend, you’re gonna wanna pay attention!
First of all, nothing says “Holiday!” quite like Viniq. It’s shimmery look brings some fun to any occassion, and Viniq Ruby’s bright red color is super patriotic!! Viniq’s blend of premium vodka, moscato, and all natural fruit flavors is perfect for cocktail mixing, so I whipped up this easy Viniq Sangria! All you need is:
1/2 bottle of Viniq Ruby
1/2 bottle of Pinto Grigio
bag of frozen strawberries
handful of blueberries
10 oz sparking water
Stir it all together!
I love using frozen fruit instead of ice cubes when I make sangria – then you can eat them when you’re done with your drink! So pretty, right?!
In addition to a festive cocktail, July is the perfect time of year to grill! I’m a big fan of Salt & Vinegar Potato Wedges and Turkey Burgers. Super easy and super satisfying.
Tip: mix some worcestershire sauce into the turkey when you form the patties. It keeps them moist and flavorful!
If you’re looking for something new to do with potatoes, I highly recommend this recipe – especially if you like Salt & Vinegar chips! In hindsight, I would have cut the wedges a little bit smaller, as well as coated them with oil and salt a little bit better before the hit the grill… so don’t make those mistakes! Haha the ones that got that lovin were more golden and crispy than the others, so I’ll definitely be aware of that next time I make them!
Whenever people roll their eyes at turkey burgers, I always tell them that it’s ALL about the toppings. I like to put out slices of avocado and handfuls of fresh arugula. I also caramelized 2 onions because… actually, do I need to explain that choice? Caramelized onions on burgers (or anything!) is AWLAYS good.
Have a happy and safe 4th of July, everyone!! Hope it’s full of sunshine and indulging 😉
*Thanks to Viniq for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own!
