What You Need for Fall

The first official day of fall has passed, which means I’ll finally admit that the cooler temps are coming. Luckily, fall wardrobes are FUN, so instead of mourning summer, I’m just gonna go ahead and get excited about a few new additions to my closet!!
So, what do you need this fall? Here’s what I’m eyeing:
Suede and Corduroy: These textures are popular every year, but I love the fresh new styles that are popping up for us this season! This shift dress by Otto d’ame is oh so darling – and you know I love crop top sets, so of COURSE I’m majorly eyeing what BB Dakota is up to.
Cozy Sweaters and Sweater Dresses: While I’m in no rush for it to get really cold, I do love the idea of snuggling up in a Jack by BB Dakota sweater for a Game of Thrones marathon with a mug of spiked cider. I guess that would be okay…
Distressed Denim: There’s something about fall that makes me want all of the distressed denim… and if I’m going to invest in a new pair, J Brand is by far my favorite brand. They are excellent quality, the fit is great, and they’re flattering on so many body types! For example, they make my favorite high waisted jeans, and now they’re doing cropped skinnies – in other words, I don’t have to take them to the tailor to shorten them! Win!
The “Lace-Up” Trend: This look was EVERYWHERE over the summer, and I’m kind of excited it’s continuing into fall. I’m really into Lovers + Friends‘ take on the trend, but the real discovery of the season is Maven West! They have SO many great options… have any of you tried their stuff before?
Walkable Booties: Yes, it’s always fun to buy sky high heels for a fancy night out… but if you’ve got limited funds, take that cash and put it towards a pair of booties that you can walk in all day long. In my opinion, Sam Edelman and Madewell are the best bang for your buck!
What’s on your list this fall?!

Love your picks! I'm dying for some new distressed denim for fall and some new low-heeled booties! And I hear you on the GOT marathon…. we haven't started the show yet because I want to save it for actual winter weather 😉 Have a good weekend! ~Hannah (www.HannahAtHomeBlog.com)
