Lace Up Booties
Boots: c/o Ilse Jacobsen (more sizes here) | Jacket: BB Dakota | Cropped Sweater: Urban Outfitters | Plaid Shirt: Zara (love this, too) | Socks: old (lots of options) | Jeans: J Brand (so many on sale!) | Bag: Kate Spade

Last month, I discovered this really awesome Danish designer named Ilse Jacobsen – and now I can’t stop telling people about these boots! They’ve been seen on celebs like Sarah Jessica Parker and Alexa Chung, and they’re sold at places like Urban Outfitters, Zappos and Nordstrom – but most people in Chicago haven’t heard of them! Luckily, Jayne Boutique (in Forest Park, La Grange and Highland Park) has them in their stores; and once you try them on, you’re gonna want em.
To be honest, this outfit made my laugh when I put it together – it’s a little bit more hipster than I usually reach for, but I’ve been wearing it a ton since the shoot. It’s a great way to wear layers while still feeling fun and casual. Plus, you guys know I love crop tops. Can’t help myself 🙂
Ok, but just a little bit more about these boots… the natural rubber makes them totally waterproof, while the fleece lining keeps your feet nice and toasty! Plus, they’re so easy to pull and on and off when you’re in a hurry. These are my go-to “running out the door because I’m late to yoga class” boots. I have a feeling we’re gonna be good pals this winter 😉
Big thanks to Arin from Heart of Chic for these photos!

These boots are going to be your constant companions with the rainy winter we're supposed to have! I love how they are both utilitarian and cute. And the photos are awesome (job well done Arin) I love all the green!!
