Acai Bowl
Yesterday I told you about Paradise Bowls, but since not all of us live in California (including me!), I’m going to show you how to replicate their specialty at home!
As you might already know, the acai berry is a super food. Great for heart health, skin health, digestive health… pretty much everything. You can read more about the benefits here. So this bowl is delicious and good for you.
Here’s how you make it!
Ingredients
3.5 oz frozen acai smoothie pack
1/2 apple
1 banana
5 strawberries
granola
honey
I found a package of 6 frozen smoothie packs at my grocery store, or you can buy them in bulk from Amazon (unsweetened and original blend).
You can play around with what fruit to add, but I started with half an apple (peeled) and half a banana.
Run the smoothie pack under warm water just until it starts to soften a little bit. If you can break it with your hand in the pack, then it’s ready. Empty it into the blender.
Blend until smooth. Add ice or more fruit to thicken it up if it is too runny.
Cut up some strawberries and the other half of that banana.
Top it with granola and honey and whatever else you like!
I got this flax seed granola from Plum Market. So good.
Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or just as a replacement for your fro yo and ice cream cravings!
Enjoy!
