Affordable Valentine’s Day Outfits
Two affordable Valentine’s Day outfits, plus a few additional festive finds for you!
Dressed Down Outfit:
Blouse: Loft (I got a size small because I didn’t want it to be tight on my arms, and I loooove the slightly oversized fit. The sleeves are so fun, and I love that the heart print is a little nod to Valentine’s Day, but you can wear it throughout the rest of the year, too!) | Jacket: c/o One Third (This jacket is from my friend Anna‘s company, and I am in LOVE! I got the XS and it fits like a dream. Highly recommend it as a fun extra layering piece!) |
Jeans: c/o Everlane (I know I always rave about Everlane jeans, but I think this style and wash is my favorite of them all – and I have a bunch 😉 I wear a size 26 Ankle in their jeans, but they tend to be a little snug, so if you’re in between sizes, I recommend sizing up!) | Purse: c/o Madewell (This is one of my favorite purses right now – and it’s on sale, plus an extra 30% off! It’s the perfect size when you want something a little bit bigger than a crossbody, but smaller than a tote.) | Shoes: Everlane (Sadly, this red velvet color is from a few years ago, but they still have 3 suede colors and 5 leather colors!)
Dressed Up Outfit:
Dress: Loft (The sweetest little dress! I’m wearing a Petite 2 and it’s a little roomy around the waist, but I kind of like that it feels flowy. It’s really cute with tights now, but it will also be so cute with sneakers in the Spring. AND it’s also on sale for $49.50 right now!) | Coat: Aritizia (I splurged on this coat last year and it’s such a classic. I have the color ‘Flirt’ in an XS!) |
Tights: Ann Taylor (I was recently gifted the unbreakable Sheertex tights which are pretty awesome… but they’re pricey! If you don’t want to spend the money on those, Ann Taylor makes my other go-to pairs.) | Boots: Banana Republic (These are a super old sale find that I still love, but this pair is super similar!) | Purse: c/o Madewell (This is the same one that I wore with my other outfit – SO versatile.)
Can you believe Valentine’s Day is only a little over a week away?! A few of you asked me what to wear for this sweet holiday… and then I noticed Loft was having a sale! Perfect timing 😉
Of course Valentine’s Day is a fun excuse to wear red, pink, and hearts – but I also know that most of you are practical shoppers like me. So this year, I went with looks that nod to those themes without going too over the top. In other words, these are items that you can wear all year round – not just on February 14th!
For example, this dress is darling for your Valentine’s date night out, or add a blazer and wear it to work! It’s also pretty lightweight, so I’m VERY excited to pair it with Keds and a jean jacket when Spring hits. SO CUTE!
Looking for something more practical?
Or not into the red heart print? They have the same print on a black and white top! And it’s SO CUTE! Hellooooo puffy sleeves ?
As fun as a new dress is, there’s no denying that a blouse is more versatile in the long term. All you have to do is add some fun red accents and you’re ready to stay in OR go out. Anyone else hinting for their partner to get a Chicago Restaurant Week reservation??
Speaking of red accents, my friend Anna launched a new jacket line and I’m so impressed with this red jacket she designed. I got the XS and the fit is surprisingly amazing for petites (I’m 5’2″). Anna is much taller and it still looks adorable on her, too – so don’t worry if you’re taller than me! I’d just maybe size up to get a little extra length.
I’ve already worn it a ton as an extra layering piece, but I’m excited to wear it on it’s own when it warms up, too. It’s just so good.
How are you guys celebrating Valentine’s Day this year?
