Bells and Bows

Friends! It’s almost Christmas!!! I’ve been trying so hard to wrap up any loose ends – amidst an internet outage at my building, no less. No, I’m not kidding! Halfway through the work day yesterday, it went out and the provider gave ZERO indication of when it would come back… but I couldn’t leave to go to our downtown office because I had to prep for another Crock Pot Video shoot (aka make one batch early so we don’t have to wait 4 hours for the batch we make on camera to cook)… am I boring you yet? Anyway, I put one batch in to cook, and decided a 5 minute commute to Starbucks was my best option… and that’s where I wrote (am writing?) this post 🙂
So… needless to say, I am SO excited to not worry about work, about fitting shoots in before dark, about deadlines, about the INTERNET connection haha – for a few days, none of that will matter. Hooray! But despite my obvious excitement, I’m actually pretty curious about how I’ll feel this weekend. This is the first Christmas in over 20 years that I haven’t traveled to the east coast… so it’s going to be very different. I’ll certainly miss watching old movies with my Nana and seeing all of my Aunts, Uncles and cousins – but I’m hoping that this new tradition is just as festive and lovely!
I usually like to get dressed up over the holidays, but since we’re not going to our big Italian or Irish family parties this year, I’m kind of thinking I might go with something more low key. This bell sleeve top paired with some pretty heels should do the trick!
I mean, are you surprised that I love this bow clutch? Didn’t think so 😉
And last but not least, let’s talk about this necklace!! Not only does it make a gorgeous choker, but you can release the clasp out to be a long necklace, too! Double win!
What are you guys wearing on Christmas this year?
