Best Mother’s Day Gifts During Quarantine
A roundup of the best Mother’s Day gifts during quarantine!
Happy (almost) Mother’s Day (in quarantine)!! What a weird time, huh?! I don’t know about you, but it feels really strange to think about not celebrating Mother’s Day with my Mom for the first time since I lived in New York. I think it’s disorienting for all of us, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make the Moms in our lives feel like the super special women that they are!
Instead of spa treatments or fancy jewelry, I tried to focus on gifts that make sense for our currently reality. In other words, gifts that she can enjoy while in quarantine! Life is going to look a little different for a while, so you might as well get her something to make it a little bit more fun and/or comfortable, right?
Best Mother’s Day Gifts During Quarantine
1. Equilibria Mother’s Day Box
Spoiler alert – this gift box is what I’m giving my Mom this Mother’s Day! My mom has been curious about CBD oil since I started using it, and once I discovered Equilibria, I knew that’s the brand that would hook her in, too. She now subscribes to The Brilliance Box every month and we chat about it all the time ? She is also a BIG proponent for self care, so I know my Mom will LOVE the new mineral soak, bath bomb, and roller duo in this gift.
If you think your Mom would love it too, you can use code LAKESHORELADY for 15% off! My code is only valid for your first purchase, so if you’re curious about trying CBD as well, I recommend setting up a subscription for yourself while you’re at it. You can always cancel later!
2. Brooklyn Candle Studio Set
To help me celebrate my bachelorette weekend from afar, my friends sent me a gift box from Foxtrot on Friday, which included the most delicious candle from Brooklyn Candle Studio. That particular one is sold out, but I found this set that looks just as lovely!
3. Winc Wine Club Membership
I’ve never subscribed to a wine club, but I’ve heard really great things about Winc – and a one month membership is only $60! That means your Mama can enjoy 4 bottles of wine while social distancing… because let’s be real, we all could use a quality glass of wine in our lives to get through quarantine 😉
4. Lou & Grey Smocked Hem Top and Sweatpants
I have recently fallen in love with Lou & Grey sweatsuits. When they say “signaturesoft”, they mean it’s REALLY REALLY SOFT! I think they run true to size, if not a little big (I wear an XS!). You can also buy them from the Lou & Grey website, but if you get them at Loft, they’re 50% off right now! Such a steal!
5. Silk Hair Wrap
You all know I’m in love with my silk eye mask, so I love the idea of a silk hair wrap!! Apparently it helps with split ends and bedhead… plus, doesn’t it look so chic?!
6. Mama Sweatshirt
I always try to point you guys to my friend’s shop, Alice & Wonder, whenever I can – and isn’t this sweatshirt the cutest?!? She just became a Mama herself, so you can feel good about giving your Mom a sweet gift AND supporting another local Mom! Win win!
7. Everlane Leggings
Whether she’s crushing those at-home workouts or she just wants to be comfortable in quarantine, these leggings are affordable and AWESOME. You can read more about them in this post, but the moral of the story is: I love them ?
8. Nordstrom Pajamas
My sister-in-law convinced me to get these PJs a few years ago, and they are by far my favorite when the weather warms up. They’re super soft and a great classic style!
9. Mother’s Day Friends Mug
Do you have a mom in your life who loves Friends?! This mug is the perfect cheeky way to remember this very weird year. We’re all FINE, right?! ?
10. L’Occitane Hand Cream Trio
I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have crazy dry hands right now, who wouldn’t want a fancy hand cream gift set? Plus, you can get 10-20% off right now with code SPRINGSAVE!
11. Skylight Frame
Since we can’t all be together right now, a Skylight Frame is an especially great gifts for the Grandmas out there. Not only is this a digital frame, but you can EMAIL new photos right to it! How cool is that?! You can upload your favorite family photo, or just stick to pictures of the grandkids. That’s all they really want anyway 😉
12. Glass Storage Container
Leftovers are more important than ever, so I love the idea of gifting your Mom these cute storage containers! Leftovers never looked so pretty!
13. Nespresso Aeroccino Frother
If your Mom has been missing her latte fix, I cannot recommend this frother enough. Yes, it’s the same one I talk about all the time ? It has settings for cold froth, hot milk, dense foam, and airy foam – and all you need to do is add the milk and press a button. It’s the best.
14. Allbirds Sneakers
Since quarantine is all about comfort, I had to throw in the most comfortable shoes ever. If she likes to go for long walks around the neighborhood, these are great gift. And they’re eco-friendly and I believe they give back a portion of sales, too!
15. Italy Puzzle
Confession: I ordered this puzzle to make us feel better about the fact that our honeymoon in Italy isn’t going to happen this year… and then I realized that it’s a great gift for anyone else who had to cancel a trip! Of course doing a puzzle in your living room isn’t the same thing, but that doesn’t mean it can’t still spark a little joy!
16. Flour Water Salt Yeast Cookbook
A lot of us are over our favorite recipes and looking to try new things in the kitchen right now. If your Mom has started talking about taking up bread making while staying at home, get her a cookbook so she can perfect her skills!
17. Maisonette Mug
Have you ever seen a cuter mug?! Such a fun little extra gift to brighten up early mornings with kiddos, or just to help her get through working from home!
A few other Mother’s Day gift ideas:
If she lives somewhere chilly, a weighted blanket could be a nice self care item… I just don’t have one so I can’t speak from experience on that. I HIGHLY recommend Foxtrot gift boxes if they live in Chicago or Dallas though! They’re completely customizable and you can add wine, candles, sweet treats, and more! Of course, flowers are always lovely, as well as gift cards to local restaurants. Do you have any other ideas? Are you still having trouble finding the perfect gift? Let us know in the comments!
