Better Days Greens Review | Viral Caffeinated Greens Powder
Curious about the viral caffeinated greens powder you’ve seen on TikTok? Here’s my Better Days Greens review + use code LAKESHORELADY to try it yourself!
There are a lot of greens powders out there and even more opinions about each one. Plus, they can be expensive! So how do you know which ones are made from quality ingredients, which ones are worth your money, and which ones you’ll actually like? Well, that’s where I come in!
I ordered Better Hormones first to help my hormonal headaches (more thoughts on that below!) and when I liked that, I realized I should place another order so I can do a full Better Days Greens review.
It was only after I purchased and tried them that I connected with Better Days to get a discount code (LAKESHORELADY for 10% off!). None of my coverage of them, including this blog post, is sponsored in any way – but I wanted to share my thoughts because I think BetterGreens could be a great fit for a lot of people. So let’s dive in!
Better Days Greens Review
What is BetterDays Co?
Better Days was created by Lisa Allen in 2022. Her idea was to combine her love of fresh green juices with her habit of reaching for an energy drink to get her through the day. After trying other powdered green drinks, it was clear that a lot of them had amazing benefits but didn’t necessarily taste very good. So she created a caffeinated (and non-caffeinated!) green drink that tastes so delicious, we not only won’t dread drinking it, but we’ll look forward to it.
Tell me more about BetterGreens specifically…
BetterGreens are all natural organic greens that come in caffeinated and non-caffeinated powder. They offer 14 flavors for the individual packets in both caffeinated and non-caffeinated. Those are great for travel or throwing in your bag while you run errands – but they also have bulk bags if you want to be more eco friendly! Those come in 3 caffeinated flavors and 3 non-caffeinated flavors.
We all know that fruits and vegetables are really good for us – they can help lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart disease, help digestive problems, and so much more. But it can be hard for some people to eat recommended amount every day!
2 sticks or 2 scoops or BetterGreens is equal to your daily serving of vegetables thanks to an organic greens blend with ingredients like broccoli sprout concentrate, carrot, spinach, kale, brussels sprout, wheat grass and more. It also has apple cider vinegar, digezyme (enzyme blend), and organic fruit blend.
The caffeinated powders have 120mg of caffeine that has been naturally soured from tea leaves.
How to drink BetterGreens
All you have to do is mix the powder into water. That’s it! You could mix it into juice or blend it into your smoothie too but honestly, these taste so good on their own, I wouldn’t.
Can kids drink it?
Yes! And they taste so good that they’ll WANT to! Trust me, my husband is quite picky when it comes to “healthy” things like this and he loves them.
Is it the same as Athletic Greens?
No, there are a few major differences between BetterGreens and Athletic Greens. AG1 by Athletic Greens has 75 vitamins, minerals and whole-food sourced nutrients in one daily serving. It doesn’t taste the best, but it does replace your need for an additional multivitamin, probiotics, adaptogens and more. It also has the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) Certified for Sport independent testing seal with unbiased third-party testing. There’s a lot to love about AG1 but it’s also very expensive and it definitely feels like something you “should” drink in the morning.
On the other hand, BetterGreens feels like a treat that you can drink any time of day that also happens to be good for you 😂 But it only has fruits and vegetables and not much more. It has apple cider vinegar and a digestive enzyme but it’s not going to replace all of your other supplements. It is delicious though!
What are the best flavors?
Adam and I got a variety pack (available at the beginning of the month!) so we have now tried all of them and we have different favorites! My favorites are Peach Limeade, Grapefruit Twist, Arctic Pop, and Juicy Lime. Adam’s are Raspberry Limeade, Strawberry Colada, Strawberry Pineapple, and Passion Orange.
They remind me a little bit of Crystal Light but WAY healthier. They’re sweet and flavorful, and you can dilute them simply by adding more water.
Other products by BetterDays Co
BetterHormones
As I mentioned in the intro, I originally placed an order from BetterDays because I wanted to try their BetterHormones packets. I ordered the non-caffeinated Strawberry Lemonade flavor and while I can’t claim that this is the reason my hormonal headaches have gone away recently, I do think it’s likely they’ve helped.
Better Hormones was formulated with Dr. Lester Lee M.D. It has ingredients like chasteberry, calcium pantothenate, milk thistle, vitamin D, Siberian gingseng, ginger, ashwaganda, inositol, pyridoxine and kelp extract. It also tastes even better than BetterGreens – and that’s saying something! Seriously, so yummy.
BetterTrim
I also caved and ordered BetterTrim, despite the somewhat Diet Culture-y name… and I actually really love it. They recommend taking it 1-2 times a day, preferable 30 minutes before you eat, and I recommend using a frother to mix it because it doesn’t dissolve as easily as the others.
BetterTrim has MCT, EGCG, 5HTP, Slendesta, and L-Carnitine that can help you feel fuller, curb cravings, regulate blood sugar, and more. I think that it helps me with portion control, which is really helpful.
BetterDays Greens Review – The Pros and Cons
To round out this review, here are my top pros and cons so you can figure out if it’s right for you!
Pros of BetterGreens
Amazing taste
Honestly, this is the biggest selling point for me. Instead of thinking of BetterGreens as a green powder I have to drink for my health, I think about it as a delicious beverage option. I will drink it when I’m bored with water or I want something fun with dinner instead of alcohol on a weeknight. It feels like a fun beverage option more than anything else to me and I loooove that.
2 packets/scoops = your daily serving of vegetables!
If you have trouble eating enough vegetables every day, this is an easy and delicious way to fix that. Honestly, that’s why I ordered them after trying BetterHormones. I am usually pretty good about eating vegetables, but there are some days when Adam definitely doesn’t come close – and this is a great way for him to get some extra nutrients.
Healthier than soda, alcohol, energy drinks, etc.
I love that I have something healthy to reach for when I want a fun and delicious beverage. We don’t drink alcohol at home during the week, so we’ll often have one with dinner (non-caff of course!) but I’ll also drink them during the day too. Also, if you are a soda or energy drink person, the caffeinated greens are a MUCH healthier way to get that extra boost. I’ve never been a huge fan of either, but I can totally see how it would be helpful to reach for these instead if you have cravings!
Third Party Tested
All of their products are sent out for third party testing and receives its own COA (certificate of analysis). All of their supplement facts are also issued and reviewed by a certified 3rd party.

Cons of BetterGreens
Cost
Of course, like any greens powders, these aren’t cheap. A bulk bag with 60 servings costs $89.95 for a one time purchase or $80.95 with a flexible subscription. An order of 30 packets costs $52.95 for a one time purchase or $47.05 with a flexible subscription.
That being said, you can use code LAKESHORELADY for 10% off which brings the cost down. For example, if you get a bulk bag with a flexible subscription and use my discount, it comes to $1.20 per serving. Of course that’s more expensive than water, but it’s less expensive than an energy drink, healthy soda, kombucha or alcoholic drink.
Health claims are about eating actual fruits and vegetables
To my understanding, the health claims (like lowering blood pressure, reducing risk of heart disease and stroke, preventing types of cancer, etc) are based on eating actual fruits and vegetables – not drinking BetterGreens.
This isn’t a total deal breaker for me because I also eat lots of fruits and vegetables so I’m not relying on this drink for all of that – but it is important to note. This is not a miracle health drink and it shouldn’t be viewed that way.
You could just eat fruits and vegetables
Which brings us to our final con – you could just eat fruits and vegetables and save your money. Honestly, I don’t drink this every day for that reason (which also stretches out our subscription & lowers cost!). Whole foods will always be the best. But is this a nice option on days when that’s difficult or when you just want a healthy drink option that tastes good? Totally.
