5 Things I Love Right Now (vol. 2)
As you can probably tell from my social media accounts right now – I’m in Mexico!! I wanted to keep it as a surprise, since it was a surprise to me about 2 weeks ago when I found out! Pretty much the BEST way to kick off my 30th birthday week ?
But… I didn’t want you to miss me TOO much while I’m gone! Here are 5 things I’ve been loving recently, to hold you over until I get back. XOXO!
1. The New Alice & Wonder Store
Ali from Alice & Wonder first reached out to me around this time last year, asking if I’d help her out with a shoot. All of the clothes we shot that day were ADORABLE (proof here, here and here!) and the whole morning was a blast. Within the first few minutes, I already felt like Ali was an old friend. She’s incredibly sweet and generous, and I’ve been rooting for her success ever since then.
Fast forward to last week when her FIRST STORE OPENED!! Oh, and it’s in Lincoln Park on the same block as Corepower Yoga and Homeslice. Talk about a baller location! The store is perfectly girly, complete with tons of affordable goodies (just like her website) and even a few instagram-able walls ? Basically, if you live in Chicago, you have to go!
2. Everlane “Form” Sandals
I’m a big fan of Everlane and pretty much everything they do and represent. Remember my 100% Human sweatshirt? Yeah, they’re the best. So, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that they just debuted a sandal that looks ridiculously comfortable and perfect for summer. Their Form Sandals are “designed with a sole that’s already formed to your foot” in soft Italian leather. Umm… Hi! Need. Want. Gotta Have. I especially love the Crossover style in Pale Rose ?
3. Chance The Rapper x Francis and the Lights
I love Francis and the Lights and I love Chance The Rapper, so… you just have to watch this video. Just do it. Not only is the song awesome (and stuck in my head), but the choreography makes me SO happy. Also, don’t worry – I’ve already ordered the shirt that Chance wears in the video! Obviously.
Also, if you’re looking for more new music, check out my friend Janelle’s new single called Barricade. It’s such a good jam, and it’s on spotify, too!
4. Personality Tests
Last week, I watched The Everygirl‘s latest episode of We need to Talk, and they talked about Personality Tests. It made me so curious that I opened up their favorite test and started answering questions. Turns out I’m an ENFP… and it’s crazy accurate. This description especially hit close to home: “Campaigners are fiercely independent, and much more than stability and security, they crave creativity and freedom.” Mmmmhmmmm. It was so fascinating to me, that I almost want to do a whole post about how I related to my results. Any interest in that?!
5. Bluemercury
A new Bluemercury opened in River North and I’m a little nervous about my self control ? They have SO many of my favorite brands there, and they really care about quality, well made products. They sent me the M-61 PowerGlow Eye Cream a few weeks ago and I’ve been loving it. I’m pleased to report that it’s, by far, my favorite eye cream that I’ve tried so far. I also picked up some Trish McEvoy goodies because I’m obsessed with her stuff. I got her Instant Eye Lift, Lip & Cheek Color, Brush 71, and Intense Gel Eyeliner (the only kind that stays put!).
Hope you all have a great week!

Those Everlane sandals look and sound so comfy! Love the blush color too. I’ve taken the Meyers-Briggs personality test a few times. I’m an INFJ. My husband and I help with marriage prep for engaged couples and they all take the test in the workshop, then we talk about how to relate to one another and understand different personality types. SO important for a lasting marriage – we’re all so different! Personality tests can be fun and so introspective.

Loved hearing about how much you liked the personality tests! As part of my job I teach classes and coach people on their results from personality tests like these and I’m always in awe of how much these test open up a new window into knowing ourselves! Would love to hear more how you’ll use the results and happy to answer any questions on the topic!

So bummed that I don’t live in Chicago and can’t check out the Alice & Wonder store. It looks totally adorable! Thanks so much for posting about it, though, because I just clicked around on their website and found the perfect gift for a friend who is moving to Chicago. 🙂

So bummed that I don’t live in Chicago and can’t check out the Alice & Wonder store. It looks totally adorable and dangerous for my wallet. Thanks for posting about it, though, because I just visited the store’s website and found the perfect gift for a friend who is moving to Chicago. 🙂
