Recently I’ve been really missing my pre-pandemi

Recently I’ve been really missing my pre-pandemic life... a lot. And whenever I look at pictures from before (like this one!), I feel a little jealous of that version of myself.

She was so much breezier! She got dolled up for drinks with friends and date nights! She could make plans and count down with excitement instead of anxiety! What a DREAM!

I am positive that I’m not the only one who has felt this way, so I thought I’d offer up what I try to remind myself every so often when I really feel the COVID-fatigue:

This is temporary.

Unfortunately, it’s a long version of temporary instead of the 6 week temporary we were all hoping for back in March last year - but even still, these circumstances won’t last forever.

We will travel again. We will hug anyone and everyone again. We will have big celebrations and long dinners and dance to live music again. We will explore our cities + ones we’ve never been to before again. And we will look back on this time and shake our heads at what a wild thing we lived through.

This sucks right now. I’m with you. But remember, it is temporary ❤️

And today, we mark the swearing of the first woman in American history elected to national office, Vice President Kamala Harris.

Don't tell me things can't change.

Motto for January: hydrated, active, and going with the FLOW! 😜

Seriously though, I told myself at the beginning of January that I was going to love my body more - and that not only means self acceptance, but it also means giving it what it NEEDS. Which is why Adam and I committed to #theFlow30, aka @flow’s challenge to drink 2L of water a day for 30 days, and we’ve been sticking to it!

It is WILD how much better I feel when I’m hydrated... and you can’t even call it a “health hack” because we all KNOW we should drink more water. We just don’t always do it!

Not only did the challenge aspect of #theFlow30 help me prioritize hydration, but having big (eco-friendly and recyclable!) bottles of mineral rich @flow water in our fridge at all times definitely helps, too. We will definitely keep stocking our fridge with them long after this partnership is over ❤️
