Top 10 Restaurants to Order from on Caviar (+ a discount code!)
Happy Friday, friends! I may be heading off to Charleston today (follow along on Instagram!), but not before I talk about my beloved Chicago a little bit more! I’m so excited to be partnering with Caviar to talk about the best food delivery in the city. As you guys know, I like to cook as much as I can – but sometimes I’m either too busy or just not in the mood. We’ve all been there, right?! That being said, nothing irks me more than spending the money on delivery only to be disappointed in the restaurant I chose or the food that was delivered. I hate thinking “I could have made this myself” or worse, “what is even IN this?” ? Which is why I’m SO GLAD I discovered Caviar. All of the restaurants they offer are well reviewed and well loved – no need to be skeptical anymore! And if you’ve never tried their services before, just enter the code LAKESHORE for $10 off your first order! Boom! Now let’s talk about what to order…
Best Restaurants to Order From on Caviar
1. Left Coast
When I first discovered Left Coast, they only had one location in Lakeview and it made me so sad that I didn’t leave close enough to swing by every day! Since then, they’ve opened a location in River North AND you can order delivery through Caviar. Win! I personally love their grain bowls and salads because they’re anything but boring. This Farro and Away Bowl has roasted broccoli, kale, spinach, roasted tomatoes, pesto, pine nuts, parm, and farro. Talk about flavorful and nutritious! I’m also a sucker for their super fresh juices and smoothies, too. You really can’t go wrong here.
My Favorite Menu Items: Farro and Away Bowl and Harvest Moon Juice (pictured), Acai Bowl, The Arcadian, Santa Monica Shred, The Regular Wrap
2. Pizzeria Bebu
One of the things I miss most about New York is the pizza… and these huge triangle slices remind me so much of NYC! Honestly, I get such joy from simply folding a piece of pizza as I eat it ? Along with being nostalgic, I love that they have a HUGE selection of pizzas. You can get a simple pepperoni pizza or a super Italian prosciutto and arugula pie. I really want to try their mushroom “Funghi” pizza next! I also really appreciate the fact that they have great salads and vegetables on the menu. Whenever I indulge in pizza, I need something somewhat healthy to balance it out. We tried their Brussel Sprout Salad and Broccoli Rabe Appetizer and both were delicious. (Although, if you don’t like the bitterness of broccoli rabe, maybe opt for another salad instead!)
My Favorite Menu Items: Ode to Rubirosa Pizza (vodka sauce and nut free pesto!) and Brussel Sprout Salad
3. Duck Duck Goat
It took me forever to finally try Duck Duck Goat and let me tell ya, it’s SO worth the hype! Every single thing we tried was ridiculously delicious – but we had to go at 3:00pm on a snowy Saturday in order to get our group in! So if you can’t get an ideal reservation, or you don’t want to put your name on the walk-in wait list, order it in!
My Favorite Menu Items: Scallion Pancakes, Veggie Fried Rice, Dan Dan Noodles
4. Velvet Taco
This definitely isn’t your traditional taco joint. Velvet Taco has something for literally ANY mood you’re in. Tikka chicken, falafel, paneer, Cuban pulled pork, fish and chips – they seriously have it ALL! And don’t you worry, you can still get a chicken taco and elotes if you want.
My Favorite Menu Items: Buffalo Chicken Taco, Ahi Poke Taco, Crisp Tots & Local Egg (best for a hangover ?)
5. Ramen-san
I don’t typically think of ramen is a great delivery food, but Ramen-san does it right! They keep the broth separate from everything else so you can put it all together once it arrives at your door – and yes, it’s still delicious that way! Plus, is there anything more comforting than a hot bowl or ramen on a cold night in Chicago?
My Favorite Menu Items: Gyoza, Tonkotsu Ramen (crowd fave), Shio Ramen (my fave)
6. Blue Door Farm Stand Too
If you’ve been following me a while, you know that I can’t get enough of Blue Door’s Brussels and Kale Salad. It’s honestly just so much better than a salad with brussels and kale should be! I blame the maple tahini dressing, crunchy bacon, and parmesan cheese ? That being said, if those greens aren’t your jam, they have a ton of other awesome items on the menu and everything is always delicious.
My Favorite Menu Items: Brussels and Kale Salad, Fig and Arugula Grilled Cheese Sandwich
7. RPM Italian
Oh so you fancy, huh? The nice thing about Caviar is that if you want a really nice meal delivered, they can do that for you! RPM is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the city, but it’s definitely not your casual date night. I love the idea ordering it in and popping open a bottle of wine for a cozy night, instead of dressing up to go see and be seen. Comfort and good food? I’m in!
My Favorite Menu Items: Fresh Homemade Ricotta, Roman-style Artichokes, Mama DePandi’s Bucatini (fave pasta in the city!)
8. Happy Camper
This is one of my favorite places to order from when I’m having people over! They have a TON of crowd pleasing pizza options and fun salads that people will actually want to eat. Plus, I like that you can build your own 10 inch, 14 inch and 18 inch pizzas, depending on how many people you’re feeding.
My Favorite Menu Items: Tony Pizza, Lance Pizza, Wells Street Salad
9. Antique Taco
This is one of my favorite little gems in Wicker Park – and thanks to Caviar, I can now enjoy it whenever I want!! Their unique flavor combos are unlike anything you’ll find at a typical cookie cutter Mexican restuarant, and after your first bite, you’ll definitely crave it again!
My Favorite Menu Items: Antique Taco Salad (trust me!), Pork Carnitas Tacos (Adam’s fave), Garlic Shrimp Tacos
10. Sushi San
Okay to be fair, I haven’t tried this place yet – but it’s getting so much buzz right now! My brother and sister in law went when it first opened and said it was great. Definitely on my list now!
Best Menu Items: Ali said they loved the Mr. Maguro!
