Neighborhooding Home Tour
Happy Thursday and welcome to my first home tour!
Have you heard of Neighborhood-ing? It’s an awesome website that talks to Chicagoans about why they love their city, and specifically their neighborhoods and homes. Lauren, the founder and editor, wanted to create a space where people can talk beyond real estate, so she can give her readers and clients an idea of what it would look and feel like to live in different areas in the city.
So when she reached out to me and asked if I wanted to chat about my experience living in Old Town, I said yes obviously! Anyone who knows me has heard me rave about my adorable neighborhood. It’s close to the beach, a stones throw from Wells St, easy to get to other neighborhoods… oh, and I see dogs being walked on a regular basis! Haha but really, you can read all about Old Town in my feature on their site here.
I was a little more nervous for the home tour photos, but they quickly put me at ease. Even though I haven’t decorated much, I guess I’m not totally hopeless! My shoes, bags and clothes are very much on display and the ladies loved it. Plus, we had the super talented Meagan from M Lindsay Photography to make it look even prettier!
Umm… can you tell a girl lives here?!
My lovely kitchen, where I make all of my recipe posts for you guys!
That gorgeous painting above all the wine was my Grandpa’s. I’ve admired it in his house for years and couldn’t believe when it was gifted to me after his passing. It was the only thing I wanted and it’s the perfect way to remember him every day.
And this is where the blogging happens! My desk isn’t anything fancy, but I love being right next to my windows all day. Natural light and the occasional flowers brighten up the space to keep me productive!
Make sure you head over to Neighborhood-ing to read my feature about Old Town and all of their other great features!

Your home is beautiful! I'm really in love with that painting of your grandpa's. How wonderful that you get to have it in your home and see it everyday.
