A New Adventure
I have an exciting announcement…
In just 2 short days I am starting YOGA TEACHER TRAINING!
Eeee!! I have been wanting to do this for SO long that I still can’t believe I actually took the plunge and signed up. There’s no turning back – it’s happening!
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve probably read a few posts about my yoga practice/seen #LSLxYoga instagrams here and there. If you’re new to Lake Shore Lady – welcome! I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to hold back my excitement sometimes (plus I have some fun collabs in the works with CorePower!) but I promise that if you’re not into yoga, there will still be plenty of awesome recipes and style for you. None of that is changing – you have my word!
I think I’m so excited because, more than anything, I know that this experience will teach me so much more than proper alignment or how to do cool new tricks. Just going to class and practicing regularly has taught me how to be strong physically and mentally, how to appreciate the body I’ve been given, how to let go of expectations, how to push myself farther than I thought I could go, and how to find peace in difficult situations. Yes, I’ve learned all of that from yoga. Crazy, right?
But really, there is nothing like the feeling you get after a really sweaty and grounding class that pushed you to your edge, especially when a teacher explains a pose in a way that all of a sudden makes sense to you. I get so excited every time my feet float off the ground in an inversion – it’s so exciting! I want to help people feel that power and strength that’s inside of them. Wouldn’t that be so awesome?
So… what do you guys think?! I’m totally open to questions and suggestions/requests for future posts – I’d love to know what you guys are curious about!

Congrats, Lauren! This is something I have strongly been considering for awhile as well, I just always resort to "there's not enough time" or a similar excuse, but like you said, it's just a matter of diving in and making it happen. So cool that you've decided to do it, I'd love to hear about your experience as you get started, perhaps it will motivate me to make the leap 🙂
