Cranberry Tequila Cocktail with Sugared Cranberries
A few weeks ago, I made a fun festive drink for Instagram – but of course, if I’m shooting one picture, I might as well shoot a whole post, right?! I ended up developing this Cranberry Tequila Cocktail that happens to be perfect for New Year’s Eve this week. Even though I’ll be heading out to Chi-Town Rising, I definitely plan on whipping up a batch before the big night!
Ingredients
2 cup sugar
12 oz cranberries
1/2 cups cranberry juice
2 limes, juiced
1.5 shots tequila
1 shot cointreau
splash of sparkling water
–
Start by making the sugared cranberries. Combine 1/2 cup of sugar with a 1/2 cup of water. Once the sugar is dissolve, pour the mixture over the cranberries.
Let the sticky sugar adhere to the fruit.
Once cool, roll the cranberries in sugar.
Aren’t they so pretty?!
Next, mix the drink. I added the cranberry juice, lime juice, tequila and cointreau to a cold shaker. Once combined, I added it to the glass and topped it with sparkling water.
For the final touch, take a toothpick and string the sugared cranberries on.
It makes the cutest little garnish – plus, they’re delicious!
Perfect for New Year’s Eve, right?!
PS. You can score my adorable monogrammed glass here! My new favorite!

This looks SO good! I'm pinning it for future festivities because tonight DB and I are staying in with hockey (for him), magazines (for me) and fondue! Happy New Year Lauren! I can't wait to see all the big things in store for you in 2016 :]
