Coffee and Wine with the Perfect Yellow Blouse
I’ve been obsessed with this saffron color for a while. It’s bright and sunny and just a little unexpected – but I had the hardest time finding it on a style that worked for me… until I saw this yellow blouse! This one seriously feels like it was designed for me – ruffle details and bell sleeves? Yes, please!
I debuted this little number when we were visiting Austin, and it was the perfect top to take me from brunch to sight seeing to happy hour. I’ll deep dive into our whole Texas trip next week (eee!), but you can consider this a little sneak peek ?
Without giving too much away, we started the day at Picnik, a very popular restaurant in Austin that happened to be started by a fellow Syracuse Drama alumni! Naomi created a restaurant dedicated to “good food that is also good for you” and man, is it gooooood. They’re also known for their butter coffee, so obviously I had to try their Pumpkin Spice flavor. How could I not?

Now… time for wine!
After brunch, I got to see one of my favorite people (again, from SU Drama!) and he suggested a cute spot with a patio in his neighborhood called Clark’s Oyster Bar. It had been chilly all morning, but the sun was starting to come out and it was all of a sudden a lovely 75 degrees. Sitting on a patio sounded perfect.
Then we drove up and we realized I literally matched the restaurant. Then we ordered oysters, french fries and wine… and at that point, it was actually perfect. We did a lot of fun things that week, but this was honestly one of my favorite stops.
(I also just want to mention that this top also totally works with a cute pair of booties. You know, since it’s winter in Chicago. Yes, you can still wear it ?)
Would you wear a yellow blouse like this?
Also, Team Coffee or Wine? Hint: the answer is BOTH ?
