As you guys know, going to Cubs games is one of my favorite things to do in Chicago. One of the things people ask me the most is “where do you find your cute Cubs gear?!” which cracks me up for a few reasons.
#1 I’ve never been a sporty girl.
#2 I never used to be a die hard sports fan.
#3 I didn’t own ANY sports gear until I moved back to Chicago. So, how did I all of a sudden become your go-to person for cute Cubs gear?! Who even AM I?!
Well, if you’ve read my post the Cubs Home Opener, World Series Feels, or An Ode to Chicago Summers, you know that Chicago is the main reason I’m a sports fan. I was obviously a big fan of the Bulls back when Michael Jordan was the King of Basketball. How could I live in the Chicago suburbs and NOT be cheering for the Bulls?! Once that faded, I learned to love hockey because my Dad coached and my brother was pretty talented on the ice. But after that, I went to college and could care less. Yup, I was that student at Syracuse University who only went to one or two basketball and football games in the FOUR YEARS I was there. Oops.
Fast forward to when I moved back to Chicago. The Blackhawks had been getting better and better, so I jumped right into watching them play all the time. Becoming a hockey fan was easy because I already knew how the game worked! And because… Jonathan Toews. What a babe, am I right?
But let’s bring this back to the Cubs, shall we? I’d always loved Wrigley Field, so when I moved back and was a 5 minute walk from the stadium that first year, I realized it was time to become more of a fan. Turns out, they were ready for me to become more of a fan too – because within a few short years, they literally went from zero to HERO. I also started going on dates to Wrigley Field with the cute gentlemen pictured below (hi Adam!) and he would patiently break down the rules so I actually understood everything that was going on. Why didn’t anyone ever tell me about balls vs. strikes?! WTF guys?!
ANYWAY, because you all always ask, I thought it would be fun to put together this roundup of the cutest Cubs gear! Seriously, even if I post a quick insta-story on my way to the game, I’ll open my phone later to tons of DMs asking for links. Also, just want to quickly say that I don’t mean to exclude any Sox fans out there – I just happen to be a Cubs girl, so I’m staying true to that. American Eagle has a bunch of cute Sox stuff too, though!!
