First of all, thank you to any of you who answered my polls on Instagram yesterday! When it comes to Valentine’s Day, I’ve been really uninspired to find fun little dresses or jumpsuits for the occasion when I know it’s very likely we’ll have negative temps on February 14th! I’m sure it’s not surprising that it’s way more fun to look at cute Valentine’s Day cards while dressed in a million layers. ? (Scroll down for those picks, by the way!)
To be honest, I also had a feeling most of you were just like me – planning to shop their closets for Valentine’s Day instead of getting something new. If it’s decent weather, maybe I’ll pull a dress out… otherwise you know I’ll be in my pink alpaca sweater ALL. DAY.
That being said, it’s fun to get something new for the big day. Especially if you are in a new relationship or your significant other is taking you out on the town! I personally love this little red dress for a dinner date. Pair it with black tights and heeled boots, and you’ll be cute AND warm! I also think every gal should have a simple red blouse in her closet. It’s obviously festive for Valentine’s Day, but it’s also a great staple to wear casually with jeans or tucked into a skirt.

If you’re not looking to get anything for yourself, I found some cute Valentine’s Day cards for your date! Does it drive anyone else crazy when you have to spend $5 on a card you don’t even like at the drug store?! SAME. Luckily, I found so many good ones, including this Hamilton card that cracks me up and this incredibly sweet one that hits me right in the feels. (Shh… pretty sure Adam is getting both this year ?)
