Dainty Jewelry Roundup
With the holidays coming up we’re bound to see a lot of items that are fun, but might not stand the test of time. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good holiday candle or statement blouse – but nothing quite compares to buying yourself or gifting someone a beautiful piece of jewelry that goes with everything.
I also love that dainty jewelry will never go out of style. Jewelry trends come and go, but minimalist styles will always be around. They can be worn on their own, or as layering jewelry, and they don’t dictate the outfit you wear. They just compliment it!
It’s funny – out of everything I own, I probably get the most DMs about this necklace that I’ve been wearing nearly every day for about 3 years. I love that something so simple gets so many questions, because it’s a very sentimental piece for me. It makes me so happy that some of you also wear it every day, too! My heart!
Best Dainty Jewelry Brands
Vrai
This is the company that makes the necklace I mentioned above – my favorite. Adam got it for me when we first started dating, and it’s been an every day staple for me ever since. (I’m also eyeing this feminine style for my wedding band – swoon!)
Their jewelry isn’t cheap, but it’s worth the investment, in my opinion. They use 14k solid gold, so their pieces won’t change in appearance over time like some plated or filled options might. Plus, over 90% of their 14k gold is recycled, with a goal for 100% in the future.
On top of that, their parent company is the only 100% carbon-neutral diamond producer in the world. They use renewable solar and wind energy sources to create diamonds in plasma – which means that every diamond is sustainably created. And of course, they have ethical labor practices. Wouldn’t expect anything less!
Gorjana
I’ve been a fan of Gorjana for YEARS now – I actually discovered them back in 2005 when I worked at a boutique in New York City and I’ve gifted their necklaces and jewelry to tons of my friends since them. They have great quality products (18k gold plated!) at a really affordable price point. Highly recommend them this holiday season!
Kendra Scott
While Kendra is better known for her bold necklaces and bright colors, she also has great dainty jewelry, too! It’s also at a price point that’s great for gifts – not crazy pricey, but not cheap either.
Monica Vinader
Monica Vinader jewelry is definitely more on the investment side, but her pieces are BEAUTIFUL in person. I was gifted this bracelet a few years ago and it’s so special.
Catbird
Catbird carries some incredible jewelry designers, but they also have their own Catbird line, too! I usually don’t like charms, but I think theirs are so delicate and sweet (like this sterling silver tiny key!) that goes on their dainty gold chain necklace.
J.Crew
J.Crew has some great jewelry, but I especially love their collaboration with Odette New York. This simple circle necklace is so pretty!
Madewell
This is another great affordable option – especially if you are buying a gift for someone picky. Just add a gift receipt and it’s a stress free situation ? Plus, this bead necklace is such a fun way to add some color to your look!
Mejuri
I want everything from this site. Not only is it all beautiful, but they only work with high-quality materials and ethically sourced diamonds. They also have fair and transparent pricing, and they show you just how much their products would cost at a traditional retail store. It’s still an investment, but it’s an investment you can feel good about.
Lindsey Leigh
One of my best friend’s got this necklace from her husband with their son’s initials on it. Not only is it beautiful in person, but it’s such a meaningful gift, too!
Gabriela Artigas
This company was founded by two sisters and their jewelry is dainty and super unique. The mini eternal necklace would make such a great gift for a significant other!
Sarah McGuire
In case you prefer to shop for jewelry in person, Sarah McGuire has a studio right in Ravenswood!
Abby Alley
Another local Chicago brand! Most of Abby’s jewelry is a little bit bolder, but I just did a collaboration with her where we designed a dainty chain bracelet and stud earrings! I also looove this knotted ring (gold) of hers, too. And all three are under $50!
Tips For Wearing Dainty Jewelry:
The truth is, anyone can wear dainty jewelry. It’s one of those things that looks good on everyone – no matter how tall or short you are, what your body type is, whatever! That being said, there are a few things to keep in mind when shopping for and wearing delicate pieces.
First of all, the better the quality, the longer the jewelry will last, and the less likely you are to have any kind of skin irritations. While you might be completely fine in a solid gold necklace, gold plated necklaces could cause a rash. Just something to keep in mind if you want to wear it every day like I do.
I also always think you should take jewelry off when you shower! It can be tempting to keep it on instead of bothering to take it on and off – but that’s how things wear down faster. Not to mention the fact that if the chain breaks while you’re showering, down the drain it goes! Save yourself the meltdown 😉

Affordable Dainty Jewelry
I know the term “affordable” is totally subjective, but there are a ton of great options out there, from $15 to $80 (and obviously beyond!). I’ve linked a bunch of brands that I know below, but Etsy also has a huge selection! I love this one and this one ?
High End Dainty Jewerly
Again, high end can be a little subjective, but I’m pretty sure most of you aren’t shopping for Heart Of The Ocean caliber necklaces. These items are around $300-$400 range, with a very pretty one up near $750 if any of you are really going for it 😉
Dainty Gold Jewelry
My personal favorite! As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that I much prefer to wear gold, so I love that my necklace and engagement ring are both gold! A lot of gold pieces also come in rose gold now, too. So pretty!
Dainty Silver Jewelry
While I’m not really a silver gal, my Mom and sister both are, so I like to keep out for pretty silver pieces for them! Plus, a lot of the items in this post comes in both silver AND gold, which is really nice.
