A dress, a cocktail & a fireplace
Dress: Elizabeth and James (on MAJOR sale here, here and here!!) | Shoes: Vince
Location: South Loop Loft
Last week, I got to escape the cold for a bit and warm by this cozy fire at South Loop Loft. The space is filled with antiques, rugs, tables, and even an emerald green couch (swoon)! If you love interior design, or just pretty things in general, you’ll never want to leave this place. Seriously.
Turns out, all you need to forget that it’s winter outside is a fun dress, a cocktail and a fireplace!
Speaking of this dress, let’s chat about it. I actually spotted it (and grammed it) back when it was full price, but I quickly decided the $395 price tag was way too much for me. I would check to see if the price dropped every once in a while… but I was never really expected it to drop 70%!! I’ll take it!
Now, I know I’m not necessarily going to get a ton of use out of it. It’s verryyy form fitting, so I know I’ll have to be in the mood to be good all week and keep those abs in all night haha – that being said, sometimes you need a knockout dress for an event or bachelorette party or gala… and how many times do you look at your closet on those occasions and say “I don’t have anything that’s wow enough!” Yup, me too. That’s why I took the plunge on this one. And maybe why you should, too 😉
Big thanks to Maya from Charmingly Styled for not only taking these photos, but helping me find flattering angles in a dress that doesn’t hide any flaws haha You’re the best, Maya!
