Gettin Fit with GapFit

I’m pretty sure I’ve said this to you all before, but… I hate running. Haha it’s true! Every spring, as soon as the sun comes out and the temps warm up, I grab my running shoes and think “I’ll like it this year!” But alas, I always end up back on my yoga mat. Ooops!
Now, I know what you’re thinking… WHY would I do a whole post in running gear if I just admitted that I don’t like it?! I’ve got my reasons — keep reading!
1) I really do like to go for a run when it gets nice outside. Like… once. For 20 minutes. (Are you laughing at me yet?)
2) I also wanted to make sure that this fitness gear from Gap Factory could hold up in different kinds of workouts. Turns out, it passes the test! The wicking material is really nice and breathable, and the compression pants provide support and four way stretch.
3) I firmly believe that YOU should find the workout that works for YOU. Obviously, I love talking about yoga here on Lake Shore Lady, but I understand that you might not connect with it like I do. You might be one of those people who get a runner’s high! Or you might really like spinning class, or barre or circuit training. Whatever it is, I will always urge you to find a physical practice that makes you feel good, because once you do, you’re SO much more likely to stick with it.
And yes, I’ve worn this outfit to yoga and it holds up there, too. Super stretchy and breathable. AND affordable! As in… everything is under $50. HUGE win.
The only other reason why I kind of wish I liked running is because I love making playlists. Luckily, I’m in the Extensions portion of Teacher Training at CorePower Yoga right now, so I have a reason to create playlists for that – but before I perfect those, I thought I’d share some of my favorite jams that you can put on while you run, flow, pump iron, and even cool down a little! Listen here or below:
And… because I’m a yogi at heart, stay tuned for more pictures of this sports bra that I’m saving exclusively for social media! Yes, that means you should follow along on Instagram and Facebook right now 🙂
Happy sweating!

Cat – I totallllly hear you on that, because I'm usually loyal to the more expensive options we all know and love 😉 But since I've been doing SO much yoga recently, it's nice to add some fun and more affordable options into the rotation, especially when the quality is great! I can't speak to how long they'll hold up, but for now, I'm really impressed!

Ooh, girl, I'm in love with this post. I totally share that feel with running versus yoga. Here's my thing with running. I love doing runs. Signing up for events, going to them, rocking the crap out of them, and getting the t-shirt. That kind of fitness is my JAM! but without training at least a little bit, I'm totally screwed. Sure, I can run the entire 5k but I'm going to regret it the next day so hard. So I train. And I hate it. But then I go to an event and I love it and everything sucks a lot less the next day.
But I swear, I'm the happiest camper when I end up back on my mat because that's totally my happy place.
This gear looks amazing. I'm all about it! I've been building a fitness wardrobe as I want to add a fitness section to my blog and should probably dress in more than old sweats and event t-shirts. That's just not cute. This stuff is, though! I'm in love with the blue leggings.

I also hate running! But I do the same thing, I'm like, oh it's beautiful outside, I can totally do this and then 10 minutes into it I feel like my lungs are going to explode. I do love walking and go on a long walk every day, so that's my excuse for buying cute workout clothes!

I love the ombre leggings! I'm usually skeptical of trying other fitness clothing brands. It's not like you can try out the clothes and then return them post-workout! It sounds like I'll have to try out GapFactory's workout gear.

I'm SO with you! Running is one of my least favorite things to do, but I realize it's a fantastic workout (and who wouldn't want to go running by the lake in Chicago?). I didn't realize they sold compression pants – I'll need to check those out!

You are the CUTEST thing!! And I need to check out Gapfit. Looks amazing… even for those of us who are more stroller-walkers! 😉
