Ginger Miso Chicken & Broccoli
I’m a little picky with chinese food. I think I’ve tried too many cheap take out places. You know the drill… you order some sort of chicken dish and you take a bite and… is that chicken? What IS that?!?
Come on, I know you know what I’m talking about.
Enter: Ginger Miso Chicken & Broccoli

Ingredients
2 large chicken breasts
1 bunch of broccoli
olive oil
1 teaspoon of fresh ginger, minced or grated
2 cloves garlic
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons miso paste
4 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Cube the chicken into bite size pieces.
Cut the broccoli and mince the garlic. Heat a little olive oil with 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil. Add the chicken and cook through.
Add the broccoli. Add a little water and cover it so that the broccoli can steam for a minute or two.
While that is cooking, add 1/4 tsp of sesame oil to a small pot. Add the ginger and garlic and cook for about 30 seconds. Stir in the miso, water, and soy sauce. Add more water if it is too salty for you. Cook for a minute and then turn off the heat.
Uncover when the water evaporates and stir fry.
Add the sauce and continue cooking so the sauce can thicken around the chicken and broccoli. Then you’re done!
Mmmm.
Just like take out! But better!
