Golden Globes Best Dressed!
I’m sorry that this has taken me so long! I’m back from a chilly but sun filled California trip and I’m ready to tell you my favorites from Sunday’s Golden Globes!!
To start, I have to give some credit to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. They had me in stitches during their opening monologue, each joke was hilarious and pretty much perfect. My love for Amy Poehler grew when she sat on George Clooney’s lap while they read the nominees for Best Actress in a Television Series, too. Sigh.
I didn’t love either of their red carpet looks, but they redeemed themselves with these looks! Gorgeous!

There were a couple of big red carpet trends on Sunday… let’s go through them!
Long Sleeved Dresses
It was definitely chilly in L.A. on Sunday, so it makes sense that there were a few lovely ladies in long sleeved gowns. These three wore the trend well, and differently! Helen Mirren is sassy, of course, while Julianne Moore goes super classy in black and white. But the winner here is definitely Naomi Watts. Glamorous, sexy, and simple.

Romantic Neutrals
Blushes and nudes dominated the red carpet this year! While it could be seen as boring, I think these ladies pulled it off beautifully. Megan, Connie, and Amy all look gorgeous, but the winners here are Hayden Panettiere and Kerry Washington. Hayden’s dress fits her like a glove, her blown out hair is soft and romantic- and the pink clutch keeps it youthful and fun. And Kerry… this is a risky dress and she pulls it off. Feminine, but slightly edgy- this dress is interesting, different, and just plain cool.

Red Hot!
Red is always a good choice in my opinion. These ladies only confirm that!
Zooey, Jennifer, and Claire look awesome, but the winner here is definitely Jennifer Lawrence for me. Look at that hair and makeup and tiny waist! Yes!

But my best dressed of them all didn’t fall into these categories. It’s Michelle Dockery, or as you might know her- Lady Mary! She was stunning in this Alexander Vauthier dress. Let’s be honest, she is stunning in every episode of Downton Abbey, but it was so much fun to see her in something more modern. Just gorgeous.
