Pineapple Skewers [Video]
I hope you guys are digging these videos with Bobby from Flavor City, because he’s back with another cooking video!! This time, he showed me how to make a sweet dessert that only requires 3 ingredients and comes together in just a few short minutes. Check it out:
Seriously, so freaking good. I could eat a whole pineapple this way. For real 🙂
PS. You recognize Bobby from the Fish Tostadas video and the Shrimp Cocktail video, and you recognize my dress from this post! Now back to the recipe:
Ingredients
1 ripe pineapple
1 limes, halved
1 lime, zested
1/4 cup dark molasses
wooden skewers
Soak the skewers in water for 15 minutes to prevent them from burning.
Preheat the grill to medium-high and place the limes flesh side down on the grill. Cook for 5 minutes or until there are nice char marks. Set aside. Cut the pineapple into 4 large pieces lengthwise, cutting around the core, then cut into eighths. Skewer the pineapple spears and grill on each side for 2-3 minutes. Once the first side has nice char marks, flip and squeeze the grilled lime juice over the pineapple. Take the fruit off the grill and immediately squeeze more grilled lime juice over the top. Drizzle molasses over the skewers and finally grate some fresh lime zest over the top. That’s it!
Enjoy!
