Summer Hair Essentials
Summer is here!! Yes, that means longer days, afternoons on the beach and lots of margaritas – but it can also bring on some hair troubles. Eek! The heat and humidity can encourage lots frizz and fly-aways, as well as limp lifeless hair. I usually throw it up in a cute do (like this one), but I do have some other solutions!
Let’s start with this Awapuhi Hydrocream Whip. I hate putting a lot of product in my hair, but this one is light and doesn’t leave your hair or your hands feeling sticky.
Work just a little bit into your damp hair right before you blow it out, and say hello to smooth volume! The light conditioners and natural Awapuhi extract fight frizz and helps to balance moisture.
That’s what we all want in a summer blow out, right?

But sometimes you don’t have time to round brush your hair dry, in which case, a fun braid is perfect! You can find the tutorial for the one below in this post.
But even when you put your hair up, the fly-aways can get in the way of your cute do. These Redken Fly-Away Fix Sheets are the perfect thing to pack in your purse and pull out whenever your hair starts to get out of control.
I packed these suckers when I flew out to New York, and they tamed my post-flight hair so I was ready for this shoot. Woo!
Full disclosure, I have received promotional consideration and free styling products from Hair Cuttery. Although, all opinions expressed here on the blog are, and always will be, my own! So yes, I will probably always go to someone I trust (like Jordan!) for any major changes, cuts or colors; but Hair Cuttery is an awesome option for when you need a quick blowout – and I mean quick! I was in and out of their salon in less than 30 minutes and for less than $30. That can come in handy, right?! If you go (locations here), make sure you upload a picture and use #MyHCLook, and of course tag @HairCuttery so they can see your gorgeous look!
Happy Weekend, everyone!
