Two Healthy Snacks for No Regrets
I’m definitely a snacker. Even though I like to call myself a healthy eater, snacking is honestly one of my biggest downfalls. But instead of fighting it entirely, I just try really hard to pay close attention to ingredients and the nutritional value of what I’m eating. Mindless snacking might fill you with regret, but these healthy snacks definitely won’t!
The first thing I do is read the ingredients, which is why I love Wasa products. Their crispbread crackers are literally just Whole Grain Rye Flour and salt. No guilt there! Now, I know you might be thinking that these could be boring, but there are so many varieties for different tastes and texture. Flaxseed, sesame, rosemary, thins – they’ve really got something for everyone… and for every topping!
Wasa Healthy Snacks:
Cucumber & Hummus
Make your own hummus or grab your favorite tub at the store. Spread it on a Wasa cracker. Thinly slice a cucumber and lay those on top. Sprinkle with sea salt and pepper.
Avocado & Tomato
Slice half of an avocado and lay on top of a Wasa cracker. Thinly slice a few cherry tomatoes and add them on top. Squeeze a little bit of lemon on top, followed by sea salt and crushed red pepper flakes.
You’ll get some healthy fats from the avocado, fiber and protein from the hummus, and that snacktime crunch we all love from the crackers. Plus, it takes no time at all to make them! You’ll be back at your desk in no time.
PS. How cute is my new desktop LSL? My friends got those for me for my birthday – the sweetest!

I feel like snacks are the hardest thing to keep healthy, especially if you aren’t at home. I do love chopping up avocado with tomatoes, boiled eggs and lemon juice – sometimes for breakfast!
June 22, 2017 @ 7:34 am
Such a good idea!
June 21, 2017 @ 2:25 pm

June 22, 2017 @ 3:57 am
Those Wasa crackers look so yummy! Maybe try peppers on top with a light spreadable cheese?
June 22, 2017 @ 7:33 am
Oo good idea! I’ve been obsessed with Kite Hill’s cream cheese style spread – but it’s made from almonds! So cool!
June 22, 2017 @ 6:39 am
Can’t wait to try!
June 22, 2017 @ 7:32 am
🙂
June 22, 2017 @ 6:47 am
Avocado toast on rye bread is my favorite snack! I’m also into making my own hummus – it’s good for you and by making it yourself, you know there’s no added sugar.
June 22, 2017 @ 7:32 am
I actually haven’t made homemade hummus in a while! Gotta do that again!
June 22, 2017 @ 7:03 am
Love this! For a sweet snack you could also do a little Nutella with some sliced stawberries and shredded coconut! ?
June 22, 2017 @ 7:32 am
Yum yum yum!
June 22, 2017 @ 7:08 am
Have you tried Purely Elizabeth granola!? I just got a bag the other day (on sale at target!), and its bomb! Seriously, their blueberry granola is the best granola I’ve tasted. So good.
June 22, 2017 @ 7:31 am
I loooove Purely Elizabeth! Their pumpkin flavor is my fave!
June 22, 2017 @ 7:30 am

Goat cheese and apples?? Anything with goat cheese is a winner in my book

I am a grazer too! Thanks for the healthy idea!
June 22, 2017 @ 8:10 am
What a great post!! Avocados make the best snack always. ??
June 22, 2017 @ 8:11 am
I am currently obsessed with Trader Joe’s ‘everything seasoning’. I especially love it on avocado toast (or crackers)!
June 22, 2017 @ 8:17 am
I like to add warm Brie and fig jam, a little goes a long way!
June 22, 2017 @ 8:20 am
Lauren, I’m sure you already know I scroll through your blog every day, and Will and I make SO many of your awesome meals! This one came at an especially good time though as it’s summer for me, aka. I’m at home snacking all day long! Thanks for always providing such solid and applicable content!!!
June 22, 2017 @ 9:05 am
Oo I can’t wait to try both of these. Such good ideas! I’m definitely going to try these other suggestions too because I have a mean sweet tooth and these look like some good healthy options.
You can also never go wrong with laughing cow spreadable cheese and apples. I’m a big fan of white cheddar!
June 22, 2017 @ 9:05 am
YUMM!! And yes please to Nashville!
June 22, 2017 @ 9:07 am
Yumm! Need these in my life. TBH right now my healthy snacks are plain ol’ fruit — so much good stuff in season! Give me all the mangos and berries, please 🙂
June 22, 2017 @ 9:35 am
These look delish! I haven’t tried wasa crackers but I might have to now! I usually have a similar snack on a lightly salted rice cake – avocado and a sprinkle of Trader Joe’s everything but the bagel mix! So good!
June 22, 2017 @ 9:44 am
The Sargento balanced breaks are my go to snacks!
June 22, 2017 @ 9:53 am
Both of those are great options.
I also have Justin’s Almond Butter with Banana slices or raw honey with chocolate chips( only like 3-4 chips)
Fingers crossed!
June 22, 2017 @ 10:50 am
I love snacking on olives
June 22, 2017 @ 10:51 am
Ah those look so good! My go-to snack is egg whites with Archer Farms Pineapple Peach Salsa. I know it sounds weird but it helps satisfy my savory cravings!
June 22, 2017 @ 11:04 am
I think I’d make a light version of egg salad for a cracker topping – I love the crunch of crackers with the mushiness of the egg salad!
June 22, 2017 @ 11:43 am
I call myself a grazer – I eat light, healthy meals for breakfast, lunch & dinner but I feel like I’m constantly nibbling on something during the rest of the day. So, I try to be mindful of what I’m snacking on! I’m a HUGE avocado consumer, so sometimes I honestly just cut one open, remove the pit, add some salt & pepper and eat it with a spoon. When I worked in an office atmosphere, my morning snack was always sliced apples or celery and sunflower seed butter – so so good! Thanks for sharing the Wasa cracker snack ideas – I love Wasa so I’ll definitely be giving these a try. 🙂
June 22, 2017 @ 2:27 pm
Pretty excited for this contest! And this snack too, actually. Love everything in it!
June 22, 2017 @ 5:56 pm
I love Wasa crackers. It’s nice to have a healthy option for a crunchy treat!
June 22, 2017 @ 7:13 pm
While I haven’t tried Wasa crackers yet I would definitely love to – they sound delicious! My current favorite healthy snack is frozen grapes. They are like a little burst of summer joy when you eat them on a hot day and they are guilt free! 🙂
June 22, 2017 @ 7:31 pm
My healthy snack is raw cucumbers.
June 22, 2017 @ 7:53 pm
I would never have thought to top with hummus and cucumber, will definitely be trying that combo!! Thanks for the inspiration!
June 22, 2017 @ 8:54 pm
It’s always great to get new ideas for healthy snacks. I’ll give these a try.
June 22, 2017 @ 9:27 pm
Definitely bananas and almond butter. If I have a sweet tooth then I roll half a frozen banana in unsweetened cacao powder. ❤️
June 23, 2017 @ 6:53 am
What a yummy and easy snack idea!!!
June 23, 2017 @ 11:28 am
Some of my favorite healthy snacks are avocado toast with a dash of garlic salt, bananas and natural peanut butter, a “trail mix” of almonds and golden raisins. Thanks for the chance.
June 23, 2017 @ 12:48 pm
I’ve never been a huge fan of cucumber but we have tons of them this year so I may just have to try them with these crackers! I don’t want them to go to waste and this recipe sounds delicious!
June 23, 2017 @ 1:41 pm
