My Favorite Sweatshirts – and how to style them
It is officially winter, which means it is officially SWEATSHIRT SEASON. I don’t know about you, but there are few things more comforting than throwing on a cozy sweatshirt. They make these cold months so much more bearable that I refuse to only wear them lounging at home. So I thought it would be fun to chat through a few of my favorites – and how I style them when working from home, running errands, a casual movie night, or even drinks with friends!
How To Style Sweatshirts
Cropped Sweatshirt | Leggings | Slippers
This cropped sweatshirt was a total impulse purchase and I’m so glad I got it – and it’s on sale right now for just $17! I usually wear it with high waisted leggings when I want to be extra comfortable. Obviously it’s great for lounging at home but I also wore this on my flight to Finland last fall, and I slept like a baby in it. I sized up to a medium for a little extra length and it’s perfect!

Chicago Sweatshirt | Straight Jeans | Heeled Loafers
I know you guys have seen this Chicago sweatshirt a lot, but I just love it so much! The cropped length and shape make me feel pulled together, all while feeling super comfortable. It also comes in blue (Montauk) and grey (Palm Springs) – and all are on sale right now! I have it in a size small. While you can pair with a lot of different things, I especially love it styled with my straight leg jeans (runs a little stiff, I wear a 27 in these!) and a polished shoe like this one. I know mine are pricey but they’re AMAZING – you can read more about Sarah Flint in this post. That being said, I love this more affordable pair, too!

Parmigiano Sweatshirt | Similar Jeans
I mean… is this the best sweatshirt ever or WHAT?! To be honest, I agonized whether I should it this one or the risotto one for DAYS 🤣 Novel Mart has so many fun options – and while I’m obviously partial to the Italiano collection, they also have shirts with cocktails, bakery items, and more on them. As for how to style it? Umm if this sparks as much joy for you as it does for me, wear it with literally whatever you want. I have a size small!

Puff Sleeve Sweatshirt | Skinny Jeans | OTK Boots
I fell in love with this sweatshirt on my sister-in-law a few months back and I’m SO excited that she got it for me for Christmas!! It reminds me a lot of Rebecca Minkoff’s puff sleeve styles (which are also super cute, by the way). The size small fits me really comfortably, and I love that I can also dress it up with some heeled OTK boots and jewelry. I would totally wear this outfit on a casual date night or out to drinks with my friends!

W. Village Sweatshirt | Skinny Jeans | Booties
This sweatshirt is technically from the men’s department, but I saw it right after our trip to New York and I had to have it. I got an XS and it definitely fits large, but I think it’s so cute once you do a little half tuck into dark skinny jeans, especially when paired with a comfortable heeled bootie.

Lou & Grey Quarter Zip | Skinny Jeans | Allbirds Mizzles
If you’re looking for something soft, look no further than Lou & Grey. The exact quarter zip I’m wearing is old (this one is VERY similar though!), but I also own this basic crew neck sweatshirt in black, which is made from the same fabric. I truly cannot rave about either one enough, so if you see them on sale (like right now!), treat yourself! You will NOT be disappointed! I think they run a little bit, so I wear an XS.
While I pretty much only wear my crew neck sweatshirt with the matching sweatpants at home (COZY CENTRAL), it would also look cute with my jeans and Allbirds, too!

Bulls Sweatshirt | Leggings | OTK Boots
Calling all Bulls fans! This sweatshirt literally could not be more perfect for game nights. It’s soft and comfortable, but it’s also CUTE!! I love that it’s long enough to wear over leggings, but there are slits on the side to make the whole look a little more feminine and fun – especially when you finish the look with heeled OTK boots 😉 I got an XS and there’s also a generic NBA option too if you’re not from Chicago!

And last but not least… I’m sure I’m not the only one who loves stealing her husband’s sweatshirt when hanging out at home! I got this one for Adam for Christmas and can confirm that it’s VERY cozy.
