How To Throw A Classy Bachelorette Party
My big sister is getting married and as the Maid of Honor, it was my duty to throw her a Bachelorette Party. Since strippers and lots of phallic references aren’t really my style, I decided to go a slightly different route. Don’t worry, it was still fun!!
I just couldn’t resist this glass. So funny, right?!
And my sister definitely needed a tiara.
I’m not a big fan of the phrase“Last fling before the ring” and it is on everything! So, when I saw napkins that had a big diamond on them instead… it was an easy choice.
We needed some silly favors too, and I couldn’t resist these Hottie Whistles. With these and the glowsticks set her friends brought, we were good to GO.
I found these Bachelorette Mad Libs when I was searching for fun party ideas on Pinterest. So funny!!
The bride to be!
Jennie looked awesome in a dress by BCBGeneration (on sale + a cut out back!).
I wore a Rebecca Taylor dress that I snagged off eBay for a cool 70% off! Wahoo! You can still get the dress on sale in white here. I paired it with my favorite Zara heels- last seen here!
When there is a banner, there is a party.
The guests started arriving!
The kitchen counter was pretty popular. I made mini chicken cutlets, Lemony Orzo Salad, a green salad with red onions and peaches, garlic bread, and the other girls helped me out with more appetizers and desserts. It was quite a spread!
Don’t forget the gifts. Do you think there are enough bags from Victoria’s Secret?!
Don’t worry, it didn’t stay classy and calm all night.
As this portion wrapped up, we toasted to a job well done and made our way to dance the night away at Social 25.
Don’t miss tomorrows post! I’m sharing the recipe for the awesome summer sangria I served. You won’t want to miss it- perfect for parties and it goes fast!!
xoxo

Hello,
The bachelorette you planned looks wonderful. From the title of your blog I understand that you are from Chicago? Me and my friends are from Canada and we are coming there for a bachelorette on St. Patrick's Day 2014. Are there any places you could suggest? The bride is not so much of a club person but more of a pub person. Any suggestions for cheaper hotels near dowtown? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Chicago is a lot of fun St. Patricks Day weekend! We dye the river green- so we take it pretty seriously 🙂 If your friend likes pubs, I would check out Division St on the Gold Coast and Wells St in Old Town. Lincoln Park has a lot too, but it will be a little far from your hotel probably. Have a blast!
