I scream. You scream.
We ALL scream for ice cream sometimes, right?! ? With summer in full swing, tis the season to indulge in this sweet seasonal favorite. Which is why I’m SO excited to team up with Hudsonville Ice Cream to show you how to set up a super easy build-your-own ice cream sundae party for you and your friends! All you need is a few simple ingredients, a hot hot day, maybe some AC… and you’ve got yourself a perfect little ice cream social!
If I’m going to indulge, I love Hudsonville Ice Cream for a few reasons. For one, it’s made right in Holland, MI! They started producing ice cream back in 1926, then expanded to include six flavors by 1940, and now they have over 50 flavors! Because of this, they take great pride their ice cream – from quality ingredients, like locally sourced milk and cream, to safe packaging.
Before Adam tried this ice cream, he asked me if there was anything “weird” about it. (Can you tell he’s used to me trying new things all the time? ?) It was fun to tell him, a HUGE ice cream lover, that this was just good old fashioned ice cream made in the midwest. He happily added another scoop to his bowl after I said that!
Build-Your-Own Ice Cream Sundaes
Put out multiple flavors of ice cream
Creamery Blend Vanilla and Mint Chocolate Chip are always crowd pleasers, but I also love Hudsonville’s Traverse City Cherry Fudge! (Use this scoop locator to find where you can buy these flavors near you!)
Set out (somewhat) healthy toppings
If I’m going to eat ice cream, I usually like to eat it plain or offset the indulgence with something (again, somewhat) healthy, like berries, bananas, walnuts, and unsweetened shredded coconut!
Put out the classic toppings, too!
I’m a weirdo and I don’t really like chocolate sauce, so I left it out of this round. (Don’t hate me!) But I DID include chocolate chip cookie crumbles and chocolate chips. Can never go wrong with those toppings!
