Black Long Sleeve Bodysuit: J.Crew (30% off today! I got a size small. To be honest, I probably could have gotten an XS, but this is really comfortable. It also has snaps underneath, so going to the bathroom/changing is very easy!) | Jeans: Madewell (the pair I’m wearing is from last year, but here is this year’s High Rise Boy Jean! I’m wearing my usual size 26 here.) | Earrings: c/o VO Jewelry (If you follow me on Instagram stories, you’ve heard me rave about these earrings before! They are made by my friend Amy, a lovely Chicago designer, and I kid you not – they are the LIGHTEST pair of hoops I’ve ever worn. I usually hate wearing dangle earrings, but I could wear these every day of the week. Seen in this blog post, too!) |
Wool Coat: Aritzia (I snagged this coat on sale, but unfortunately it’s full price again. I like this similar wool coat at a lower price point though!) | Shoes: Calvin Klein (These are my go to pumps and they’re super affordable! The heel isn’t too high and they run TTS!) | Necklace: Vrai & Oro (I wear this almost every single day. It’s my favorite gift from Adam… besides my ring ?) | Sunglasses: Loft | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
Usually when I feature a new piece of clothing her on the blog, it feels like a bit of a reveal… but not this time! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen this black long sleeve bodysuit a TON already. I wore it to our Valentine’s Day date night and got SO many questions about it! Clearly, that meant I needed to share the link, and I’ve been blown away by how many of you have swiped up and purchased it! I mean, a few of you have even posted a photo of you rocking it in your stories. I can’t tell you how much it makes my day to see stuff like that!
Honestly, I’m usually pretty skeptical of bodysuits. When it first hit the stores, I kept thinking, why would I want to wear a leotard?! My ballet days are LONG GONE! But this one has completely changed my mind. Here’s why!
Why I Love This Black Long Sleeve Bodysuit
First of all, there are SNAPS! I’m leading with this because it’s just essential. Maybe I’ll come around to bodysuits without them eventually, but they just make life so much easier! It still looks like a perfectly tucked top, but you can go to the bathroom like a normal person. Might be TMI, but I’m pretty sure we’re all friends here!
Second, it’s comfortable! The fabric is so so soft, I never want to take it off. I also love that it has long sleeves, so I can wear it on a cold night and not freeze. Plus, it’s form fitting, but not tight or restricting – isn’t that what we all want?!
Moving on, it’s SO versatile! My favorite way to wear it is with high waisted jeans and heels (as you see here!), but there are SO many more ways to style it. It looks great with a cute a-line skirt and tights now, but it would also be adorable with high waisted shorts in the Spring!
And lastly, I love that it is subtly sexy. There’s nothing over the top about it, but it still makes me feel confident and flirty. It doesn’t hurt that Adam always compliments me when I wear it either ? If you’re worried about the neckline, the wrap is a little low but I never feel inappropriate in it. You could easily add a clasp to make sure it doesn’t pop open, or even just use some fashion tape!
Have you bought this yet, or are you thinking about it?!
If so, I would love love love if you post on your stories and tag me! It’s made me so happy to see girls rocking it before this post even went live – the BEST!
