My Signature Moments
If you saw yesterday’s blog post, or follow me on social media, then you probably already know that I recently took a whirlwind 48 hour trip to LA! I know I told everyone on Snapchat (username: lakeshorelady) why I was there, but don’t worry if you missed it! This post will fill you in on all the fun 🙂
For those of you who live in the Midwest (which is a lot of you), you’re probably aware of Jewel-Osco… right?! Well, they recently launched a line of Signature products exclusive to their stores and I got to check them out for all of you! They have over 4,000 products (isn’t that crazy?) covering six different types of products: Signature Select, Signature Kitchens, Signature Farms, Signature Cafe, Signature Home and Signature Care. They are all excellent quality, super affordable, and come with a money back guarantee. Have I piqued your interest yet?!
Don’t worry, more pretty pictures are coming…
The event was held at a gorgeous house in the Hollywood Hills where they set up the products for us to check out, cooking demos so we could taste the food, and gorgeous tablescapes so we could snap photos of the food! They really covered all the bases.
The day started with a Signature Avocado Toast Bar, which I thought was totally genius for a group. If you’re hosting a bunch of people but don’t want to be stuck in the kitchen, just put out a few different kinds of toast along with Signature Select Hazelnut Spread, PB and Jelly for the people who want something sweet… or for people like me, put out avocado, tomatoes, lemons and Signature Select Uncured Hickory Smoked Sliced Bacon so they can make a savory toast! So easy for you and so delicious for everyone else.
We then moved inside to learn about their Signature Cafe Soups. This Tuscan Tomato & Basil Bisque was so yummy, I was sad we only got to try a shot glass of it! One of my favorite parts of the day was discussing all of the different ways you could use a soup like this. Sure, bring it home and heat it up – that’s obvious right? But what if you added chicken and cannellini beans so its a heartier soup? Or what if you used it over pasta as a sauce? There are endless possibilities.
And then we made flatbreads for lunch, which is 100% right up my alley. I’m already planning a separate post to break it down for you because I loved it SO MUCH. We each got to roll out some flatbread, bring it to the grill, and then top it however we wanted! They had a slew of Signature products lined up for us to choose from depending on our tastes. I chose pesto, butternut squash, artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese and arugula. I totally had heart eyes for this flatbread.
But really, don’t you want to eat that?!
Oh, and back to this gorgeous table! Swoon.
After we ate, the Signature brands ambassador herself, Tiffani Thiessen, came to chat with us about all things food. We got the inside scoop on her cooking show Dinner at Tiffani’s and a few tidbits about her Kelly Kapowski fame haha She had such a wonderful sense of humor, and it makes so much sense that Jewel-Osco chose her to help them spread the word. She so lovingly talked about her family and the “Signature moments” they have around the table… something I think everyone there could relate to.
And then she made us dessert!
Easy desserts for company? Ice Cream Sandwiches (ice cream, cookies, nuts) and Affogato Floats (coffee or espresso and ice cream). Both of them only require a few ingredients and minimal assembly. Again, even if you’re hosting, you should be able to enjoy the food/entertaining memories, too!
Big thanks to Jewel-Osco for this amazing trip and introducing me to such a great, affordable line of products. I will be buying my Signature products at my local Jewel-Osco, but you can also find them exclusively at all Albertsons Companies grocery stores, including Albertsons, Safeway, ACME, Vons, Pavilions, Randalls, Shaws, Star Market, and United.
Have you seen these products in your stores? Let me know if you try them out!!
