Wrapped in a Velvet Bow

And just like that, it’s December! Now there really is no denying it – the holiday season is HERE! While I usually complain about the temperatures getting colder, I temporarily forgive them during the month of December. Yes that’s right – I’m a sucker for all of the lights, wreaths, trees, and pretty much festive anything! And I’m sure this is all super surprising (haha not), but I especially love holiday dresses. I want all the velvet and bows and frills you’ve got… which is why this Kate Spade Velvet Bow Dress is my idea of holiday PERFECTION.
Since this classic fit and flare dress is literally wrapped up with a velvet bow, I knew we had to shoot somewhere festive. And when it comes to Christmas trees, no one does it quite like the Waldorf Astoria. It’s always fun to pass by the beauty of the Waldorf, but this massive tree makes it even better. I love that it’s minimally decorated, too – the sheer size along with the twinkling lights are all you need to get the holiday feels. That, and a dress with a velvet bow on it… duh.
Also, I know the dress is perfect – but can we talk about this coat?! I’ll admit, it’s not the warmest thing ever, but it is so freaking chic – who cares if it’s warm?! ? The bell sleeves make it feel more fun than your typical coat, but the best part is that it’s only $72! Yup, I needed it, you need it, we all need it!
But really, aren’t the holidays magical?
Now, I know this particular velvet bow dress is a little pricey. I’ll definitely update you when it’s marked down, but would you guys also like a roundup of more dresses at different price points? I’m definitely down to put that together for you – just let me know in the comments!
Welcome to the holiday season, friends!
“Happy happy!” as my Nana loves to say ?
