I’ve been a fan of LAKE Pajamas for a long time now – I actually realized that I wrote a quick little post about my first pair back in 2016! Since then, I’ve basically become a superfan. I’ve turned my mom, sister and so many friends into loyal customers and their robes are one of my favorite postpartum gifts to give.

Of course, I have acquired quite a collection of my own over the years, too. I’ve come to realize that they are WAY better than a bunch of old t-shirts or low quality sale finds that fall apart after a season. Plus, they’re CUTE!

About LAKE Pajamas

LAKE Pajamas was founded in 2014 by longtime friends Cassandra Cannon and Anne Read Lattimore. They were having a hard time finding classic pajamas that were stylish and comfortable, so they founded LAKE and set out to do it themselves.

Since then, they have become a huge success – winning over so many people with their unbelievably soft pajamas made from 100% Peruvian Pima Cotton. They now offer pajamas for women, men, and children, and you can shop online or at their stores in Atlanta and Charleston.

Are they good quality?

Without a doubt, yes. As I mentioned, the majority of LAKE pajamas are made with 100% Peruvian Pima Cotton. Pima cotton is incredibly soft – it feels so luxurious and smooth and will continue to feel that way even wash after wash. 

While the softness isn’t affected by washing, please keep in mind that because these are 100% cotton, they will shrink in your first wash. If you are debating between 2 sizes, I’d go with the larger one to account for this.

Besides that one little quirk, I love that this cotton is ideal for sleeping because it is breathable which will help avoid overheating. Yet somehow, these pajamas are also thick and substantial. They aren’t see-through or flimsy at all. I mean, both cozy AND breathable? Isn’t that the dream when it comes to pajamas?

Are LAKE Pajamas worth it?

If you’ve ever messaged me “are they worth it?”, you know that I hate answering that question in regards to any brand or product. “Worth it” will always mean different things to different people depending on budgets, preferences, what’s already in your closet, etc.

That being said, if all of your pajamas look old and ratty and you’ve been wanting to upgrade that part of your closet, I can confirm that LAKE pajamas last for YEARS. That pair from 2016 I told you about? They’re still in excellent condition!

Everything is so high quality that you’ll have them for YEARS. And if you can also sang them on sale? That’s worth it for me.

When do LAKE Pajamas go on sale?

Lake pajamas have 3 sales a year – an annual sale, a summer sale in July (happening now!) and another one during Cyber Week. I also rarely see them give out discount codes, so I highly recommend stocking up during one of these sales if you can!

Lake Pajamas Review and Sizing

For reference, I am 5’2″! Before getting pregnant, I typically wore a small in tops and 27 in jeans, but I’m more of a 28/29 now. Hope that helps!

Do Lake Pajamas run big or small?

I will talk through each style below, but generally Lake Pajamas run true to size. Some of the shorts can run a little short/small and the crew styles have a slimmer fit than the dreamknit or classic pima, but nothing too crazy. You’ll see below that I either get size small or medium!

Do Lake Pajamas shrink in the dryer?

As I mentioned above, because they are 100% cotton, they will shrink in your first wash a little bit. Because of this, if you are debating between two sizes, I recommend sizing up.

Pima Short Robe – 25% off

When it comes to robes, this is the best all-season option out there. It’s breathable, soft, washes well and holds up for years. Don’t get me wrong, I love a thick robe in the winter – but I don’t want anything to do with them when I’m hot or it gets warm outside, so this is perfect.

I got a size small and I’d say it definitely runs true to size. The regular Pima Robe is the one I’ve gotten my friends as postpartum gifts, and it’s a great option if you want a little more length. Both come in tons of colors!

Pima Short Long Set – 25% off

This short long set is a LAKE Pajamas classic – and for good reason! They come in cropped, regular, and tall lengths which is really nice, especially since the cropped length is a perfect full length on me. The cropped inseam length is 26″ and the regular inseam is 29″ which still works for me. 

I wear this set year round because the fabric is so nice and breathable. It’s great for cool summer nights when I don’t want to wear shorts but it’s also nice for fall/winter nights when I don’t want to overheat in full long sleeves. Comes in tons of color options!

Pima Long-Long Set – 25% off

I have on a regular size small here and I think it runs true to size, although I prefer a size medium in my postpartum body. Originally the pants were a little long on me because I’m short, but washing them brought the hem up just slightly. I never wear pajamas outside, so a little extra length doesn’t bother me.

That being said, a few of the colors come in 3 different inseam: cropped, regular, and tall! The cropped inseam length is 26″ which is ideal for petites like me. The regular inseam is 29″ and the tall inseam is 32″.

DreamModal Set – 25% off

This set has a thicker/silkier fabric and it’s my favorite in the cold months. I sized up to a medium and the pants are a little long but I don’t trip over them. If you want something even cozier, I also own the Relax Set which is an even thicker fabric, almost more like a loungewear set. I got a small in that and there was no need to size up. Comes in a jogger version now too which is great news for shorties like me!!!

Maternity Short-Long Set – 25% off

I loved this maternity set so much that I got another pair for Christmas! It fits very similarly to their usual pajamas, but the top is a little longer and it has buttons for nursing postpartum. SO nice! You can get your usual size. There are a bunch of other maternity styles to choose from, too!

This set was my very first LAKE purchase! I got in pink stripes 8 years ago and the obsession has only grown from there. They make this style every year in new prints and colors, and 7 of them are on sale right now!

I have a size small and it runs true to size but size up if you prefer longer shorts. I much prefer size medium to small while I’m postpartum right now. 

Pima Crew Shorts Set – 25% off

This crew short set has a slimmer fit than the ones above, and the top is more like a traditional crewneck tee. I definitely recommend sizing up in this style!

Pima Long-Short Weekend Set – 25% off

This long-short set fits a lot like the set above – just with long sleeves! Again, I recommend sizing up in this style.

Relax Shorts Set – 25% off

If you want something a little thicker/cozier, this set is so good. I sized up to a medium so the shorts wouldn’t be too short and I looove this fit.

Pima Ruffle Nightgown – 25% off

Okay truthfully, I always thought that I was too short for this nightgown – but now that I own it, I love it SO MUCH. It’s so soft, the straps are adjustable, and it couldn’t be more comfortable. Also, the easy fit means that it would be PERFECT to wear throughout a pregnancy. I got a size small and I definitely could have gotten an XS.
