Lake Shore Lady Closet Sale!
GUESS WHAT?! I’ve partnered with my friend Brittany from At One Boutique to bring you guys a virtual CLOSET SALE!!! In all honesty, I’ve wanted to do this for a while, but I didn’t think I had enough goodies to sell… at least not enough that I wanted to part with ? But just a few weeks ago, I went through my closet and tried to be as firm as I could. If I don’t wear it anymore, why should I hold on to it? It would be better if one of you could enjoy it, right?!
Lake Shore Lady Closet Sale
One of the things that inspired me to part with these pieces is because we’re MOVING next month. Ahhhh! I haven’t said anything yet because I’ve been worried about jinxing it but it’s happening!! Don’t worry, I promise to write a post with all the details when we get a little closer to our closing date. But even though we aren’t moving very far away from our current apartment, I’m really glad that this move has inspired me to be honest and make some room in my closet for this next chapter!
Also, I have decided to sell these items instead of donating them for a few reasons. First, the majority of what we’re selling is in really excellent condition. Second, only 10-15% of donated clothing actually ends up going to those in need and/or the secondhand market. The rest? Landfills. I was so upset when I discovered that, which is why I’d rather my cute Madewell top go to one of you instead of a landfill!
In addition, I will also be donating a portion of my profits from this sale to My Block, My Hood, My City. Right now, I am committing to 10% – but if you blow us away and purchase 75 items or more this weekend, I will increase that to 15%. (There are 151 items listed right now!)
