#LSLeatsout
A few weeks ago, I took one of my best friends to dinner at Adamus to celebrate her new job! Normally when I go out to dinner with a friend to catch up, I put my phone and camera away and try to only focus on that person. But when I told her about this place and asked if she wanted to join me, she agreed pretty quickly to the cameras 🙂
The restaurant is in the Silversmith Hotel, conveniently located right in the loop. Honestly, even if you only have time to stop by for a quick appetizer and cocktail after work – do it! Their cocktails are carefully crafted but taste completely unpretentious – like the Blueberry Gin Fizz I had. It went down like juice and looked oh so pretty!
For appetizers, we tried the pulled mozzarella with heirloom tomatoes. Everything was so fresh and the balsamic reduction that came with it was the perfect addition. The broiled oysters with bacon and spinach were out of my comfort zone, but Caroline loved them! I guess I’m an oyster purist? Who knew?!
For dinner, I tried their highly recommended Beet Tortellini, and it did not disappoint! I personally love beets, but I think anyone would enjoy their subtle flavor in this dish, especially with the toasted nuts in the sauce. Such a great combination of textures!
Anddd while we’re talking about eating out, I visited Chef Anthony Sasso at Casa Mono when I was in New York for a meal I can’t stop raving about. Seriously, if you live in New York or are visiting soon, do yourself a favor and GO THERE! Below is a photo of their White Asparagus with Octopus Salad dish that blew my mind. You can also see a picture of the Bizcocho we had for dessert on Instagram. That’s braised grapefruit and olive oil ice cream… I mean, what do you even do with that?! It was heaven, guys.
And then there’s Lyfe Kitchen… have you been there?! I got to check out a bunch of their new menu items with some lovely bloggers, including their new skinny cocktails! The drinks are all under 180 calories, and everything else is under 600 calories. Don’t you love when you don’t need to find the “healthy option” on the menu? They’re all the healthy option! Win!
And one more before I go – have you ever been to Freds at Barneys? Their sunset menu for summer is full of delicious pizzas, superfood salads and one of the most delicious Tuna Tartare’s I’ve ever had! YUM.
Want more restaurant recommendations? I hear you, so I’ve started using the hashtag #LSLeatsout on Instagram so you can easily keep up with and search through some of my favorite spots!
Have a great Monday, everyone!
