Memorial Day Sales 2020
While MDW doesn’t look quite like it usually does, at least we can all take solace in the fact that it’s still a GREAT WEEKEND FOR SALES! Instead of just picking favorites from a bunch of retailers, I thought it would be fun to ask you what you’re actually shopping for this year. Below are answers to your requests – I tried to answer all of the most popular ones… and I really only skipped ones that don’t have a ton of options on sale this weekend. Why buy designer jeans for 20% off when my new favorite white pair from Everlane is only $68 all the time, you know?
After the answers to your requests, you’ll find a master list like usual, too. I hope this is helpful for you! YAY for discounts!!
Memorial Day Sales 2020
What You’re Shopping For:
Workout clothes and Athleisure:
I love this cropped pullover from Alo, these joggers and these leggings from Lululemon, and this cropped tank and these running shorts from Athleta. As for workout clothes that I own and recommend, these two tone leggings and these solid leggings are both GREAT! I think OV tends to run a little small, so if you’re in between sizes, I’d size up. I’m also considering getting this pullover. So cozy, right??
Loungewear:
I personally think my Lou & Grey sweatsuit is the softest and best sweatsuit in the world (sweatshirt here and sweatpants here), but Nordstrom and Shopbop (love this set!) also have some cute loungewear on sale!
Planters, Outdoor Entertaining and Patio Furniture:
Crate & Barrel is having a HUGE sale on all of these things! They have a ton of gorgeous planters and literally all of our outdoor entertaining accessories are from there. They also have gorgeous outdoor patio furniture, but if you’re looking for less expensive furniture, Target and Wayfair are also having sales. Wayfair also has some fun outdoor games on sale, too 😉
Furniture and Home Decor:
Speaking of Wayfair, they have a ton of other sections on sale: living room seating, area rugs, bedroom furniture, office furniture, decor and so much more. Target also has a lot of great options – especially cute office accessories for that WFH life!
Kitchen Gadgets
MY FAVORITE MILK FROTHER IS ON SALE! Same with my Vitamix, food processor, and trusty Le Creuset – 4 of the very best quality and most loved items in my kitchen.
Comfy Summer Dresses:
I usually think Loft and Gap are the best places to find comfy summer dresses on sale. They have so many good ones like this one and this one. I also really like this one from Mango! If you want even comfier than those, I’d look at Lou & Grey. This dress is made out of the same material as my favorite sweatsuit!
House Dresses/Caftans for Petites:
Okay, this one is hard. I know this style is super trendy right now, but not many retailers are making it specifically for petite gals… which means it’s likely to look like a big bag on us ? That being said, I love this petite dress from Asos, this one from Alice & Wonder, and this one that looks so cute on Shelby from Pretty in the Pines!
White Dresses/Engagement Shoot
Check out my For The Brides Shop page! As for an engagement shoot, I’d call out Yumi Kim! I’ve been a fan of hers for 10 years now and her dresses are so fun and special. This maxi would be so pretty for a spring/summer shoot! (It’s also really similar to one of my favorites that I own!) I’m personally dying over this lemon dress – I want to buy it for our eventual honeymoon to Italy, even though we have no idea when that will actually happen anymore ?
Shorts – Denim and Non Denim:
When it comes to denim shorts, I only really wear my Everlane shorts and an old version of these Treasure & Bond shorts. I’m sure there are more out there from the retailers linked below though – and I’m really tempted to get these cinched waist shorts from Alice & Wonder! As for non-denim shorts, I fell in love with linen shorts last summer. While they aren’t available anymore, I love this pair, this pair, and even though they’re not linen, I love this colorful pair, too!
Swimsuits
When it comes to affordable swimwear on sale, don’t sleep on Aerie! I have this swimsuit in red, and I’m eyeing this bikini top with this high waisted bottom. L*Space also added to their sale section, too! And speaking of swim, how dreamy is this cover up? I’m in love!
Skincare
I don’t usually shop at Dermstore but they have SO MANY of my favorites on sale! First of all, the miracle working pimple patches that I can’t stop talking about are marked down. YES PLEASE! You can also get my holy grail retinol serum and the under eye cream by the same brand on sale, too. And Living Proof Dry Shampoo, too! I am SO impressed.
Sephora also has some select deals, and if you spend over $125 at Beautycounter, you can get a free full size summer skin product! I’m also super tempted to try the crazy expensive Augustinus Bader Cream that every celebrity and beauty editor (+ Grace Atwood!) raves about since you can get a discount this weekend… I’ll let you know if I pull the trigger!

Thanks so much for the house dress recs for petites! I keep hoping brands will release more options but it’s been so hard to find.
