Exploring Tallinn in a Reformation Dress
Hey friends! Since I took you with me to Tallinn, Estonia in yesterday’s blog post, I thought I’d continue the European adventure today! To be honest, I usually steer clear of midi dresses because I’m such a shrimp. While they look sophisticated on most women, they usually look frumpy and ill fitting on me. Until this Reformation dress came along…
I’ve been wanting to buy a Reformation dress for a long time, partly because I love their commitment to sustainability. But also because their styles are just so PRETTY! So, one day before we left for Finland, I had a ton of tabs open and I was finally ready to make a purchase. To help me decide, I asked Adam which ones he liked best, and he kept coming back to this one. Instead of telling him it wouldn’t work with me, I decided to try it out. If it didn’t look good, I could always return it, right?
Well, it came in the mail, I zipped it up, and his reaction to this one and another gem (obsessed) I snagged, made it clear. Nothing was going back ? It was also clear that Tallinn was the perfect place to debut this beauty. I didn’t have to worry about my skirt flying up, I could layer a sweater over it, and the color would pop in the middle of the beautiful streets. Needless to say, I have zero buyers remorse!
Shop my look:
Dress: Reformation (wearing a size 0/this print is also available in this midi dress) | Necklace: Vrai & Oro | Backpack: c/o Vera Bradley | Shoes: J.Crew | Sweater: old Loft (similar here and here) | Sunglasses: Loft
While in Helsinki, we experienced a lot of temperature shifts throughout the day. For example, it was only about 50 degrees when we left our apartment at 6:30 that morning, but by the time we got to Tallinn at 9:30am, it was rapidly approaching 75 degrees and sunny. Since we were expecting such a beautiful day, I knew I wanted to wear this dress, and I love that all I needed to make it work was throw a sweater over it, tie it in a knot a the waist, and grab a light jacket that we could put in Adam’s backpack.
It also comes in this print that reminds me SO MUCH of my favorite Topshop dress I got last summer. Seriously, every time I wear it, I get questions about it – so now I can direct you guys here instead of saying it’s old! It’s the little things, guys ?
