Mimosa Granita
There are many things I love about blogging, and I keep finding more and more reasons to love it. As I begin to work with more brands, I just want to tell all of you that I will only work with companies, designers and products that I believe in, and all opinions expressed in the posts will be entirely my own. I promise.
That being said, these collaborations are very exciting and challenging for me. And how fun is it when Tiziano Wines sends you Prosecco to use for recipe testing?! SO FUN.
So… who loves mimosas? Yup, me too. What if mimosas weren’t limited to brunch? What if a mimosa could be in the form of a refreshing treat and you could eat it whenever you wanted? Well, my friends, that’s what I’ve done here.
Here’s how you make it!
Ingredients
2 tbsp Simple Syrup
1/2 Lime
1 1/2 cups Tiziano Prosecco
3 cups of Fresh Orange Juice
You can make your own simple syrup by combining 1 cup of sugar (or the sugar substitute equivalent) and 1 cup of water. Bring it to a low boil, stir, and turn the heat off as soon as the sugar has dissolved. Let it cool completely. Simple!
Combine the orange juice, Prosecco, 1/2 a lime, and 2 tbsp of the simple syrup.
Stir to combine, cover, and put in the freezer. Every hour to hour and a half, take it out of the freezer and scrape with a fork. The first few times, there won’t be a lot of scraping to do, but it will prevent the granita from forming a block.
Instead, you will help it to look like this. Scrape again.
Keep scraping every hour to hour and a half.
And about 7-8 hours later, you’ve got granita!
Oh yeah.
For a cute presentation, serve in a wine or champagne glass.
Because I’m not the only genius who thought of this recipe, I looked at some of the other ones floating around the web. A lot of them have more simple syrup/less Prosecco/etc, so feel free to play around with the measurements.
But honestly, I love how this tastes just a like a mimosa. Why would you want it if you can’t taste the champagne in there?!
Great for girls brunches, parties, or just to have on hand for a Treat Yo Self moment.
Mmmm.
You can join in on the fun, too! Get yourself a bottle of Tiziano wine and upload a photo to Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #TizTheMoment. You could win an ultimate wine party for you and your friends!

That looks delicious! I'm a terrible cook but this looks like something I could handle…and so worth it!
