Mothers Day Guide [Gifts + Food]
Before we dive in to today’s post, I have to say a quick thank you for all of the support this week surrounding my debut on The Today Show. The comments, the shares, the texts – all of it! I’ll write more in my recap next week, but seriously – you guys are the absolute BEST!
But now it’s time to start thinking about Mother’s Day, which is fast approaching! If you haven’t even thought about what to get your Mama yet – don’t worry, I have a few ideas!
Speaking of my segment on Today, now is the perfect time to get your Mom a spiralizer if she doesn’t have one! Shrimp Scampi Zoodles, here she comes! I’m also completely obsessed with these striped pajamas (pictured above) – and yes, they’re just as cozy as they look. If your Mom isn’t into shorts, they have a version with pants, too. Looking for an experience instead of a gift? Get her a gift certificate to Bliss Spa so she can experience the best facial ever. Still not special enough? Monica Vinader Jewelry is a new discovery for me and even though it’s a pricey, everything is super dreamy.

So… once you have the gifts, what should you all eat?! You definitely don’t want to leave Mom with all the cooking on Mother’s Day, so I love the idea of creating a Build Your Own Flatbread Bar!
Buy pre-made pizza dough, or whip up a few batches the night before. Set them out with flour and let everyone stretch out their own. Line up toppings like tomato sauce, cheese, pesto, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, and arugula in bowls so everyone can make their own fun creations. This is the most fun with a grill (grill both before and after toppings), but an oven works, too! It’s fun and interactive and doesn’t leave Mom with all the work.
I had this one when I was in LA with Jewel-Osco and I topped it with pesto, butternut squash, sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts and arugula! Don’t worry, if you’re a cheese and pepperoni kind of person you could go that route, too!
What are you guys doing for your Mom this Mother’s Day?
