Cubs Home Opener with the Moto z2 Force!
As you’ve probably noticed from my Instagram feed or my blog post when Chicago won the World Series, we are big Cubs fans over here! I’ll admit, I’m far less of a baseball fan than the tall man next to me – but I’ve always been a fan of good old Wrigley Field. There’s something so nostalgic about it, and now there’s also a lot of new and exciting energy in the stadium. It’s seriously so much fun to be a part of. I always say, only Chicago could get me so invested in sports!
So, when Motorola reached out and asked me if I wanted to go to the Cubs Home Opener this year, I jumped at the chance! I was also really excited for the opportunity to test out their moto z2 force. I had never tried one of their products before last weekend, and I love how easy it is to use. It’s shatterproof, holds it’s battery extremely well, and they even have fun little shortcuts – for example, all you have to do is shake your phone for the camera to pop up! How convenient is that?!
I was also crazy impressed with their “mods” that you can attach right to the phone to enhance it. More about those later in this post ? But first, the Trophy Room! I love that Motorola set up this cool little room right off the park so that fans can come see and take a photo with our beloved trophy. So cool!
After we visited the Trophy Room, my friend who works for the Cubs let us know that they needed a few more people to help carry the flag onto the field for the National Anthem. Obviously, we were ready to save the day! Unfortunately (or fortunately? ?) they didn’t end up needing us, but we still got to watch as it was brought out onto the field. I seriously couldn’t get over how humongous it was! But it sure looked pretty once they all unrolled it.
Finally, we made our way to our seats – which were absolutely insane! 9th row behind home plate? Don’t mind if we do! Also, if you saw my instagram stories, you know VIP seats like these meant we got to see a few Chicago celebs. Patrick Sharp came down to our section to say hi to Rahm Emanuel. As he was walking away, Adam shouted “Love you Sharpie! You’re the man!” And Patrick turned, pointed directly at Adam, and said “no, you’re the man” and then walked away. HAHA! Our whole section agreed that it was an awesome moment, and we continued to laugh about it for the rest of the day!!
And of course, we needed to test out the new food! This new Chick-Ago Chicken Sandwich was everything I wanted it to be. It has pickle-brined breaded chicken thighs, tempura short peppers (for a little kick!), tomatoes, dill aioli, and celery salt on an onion roll. Seriously, the best thing I’ve eaten at Wrigley in a long time!
Okay, so now that you know how much fun we had, let’s get back to the phone. The moto z2 force was an incredible phone to bring with me to an event like this. As you guys know, I like to document the fun things I do (blogger life!), and I loved that I could do that yesterday without lugging around my DSLR camera! This thin sleek phone has dual 12 MP rear cameras for enhanced depth of field and real-time controls. Plus, there’s a wide angle 5 MP selfie camera, too! Every photo in this post was taken with that phone (besides the ones of the phone, obviously!). I also loved that it’s shatterproof and it holds its power literally ALL DAY. So impressive.
But my favorite feature of the moto z2 force is the ability to enhance it with mods. All you do is snap off your case and click on a simple attachment and you’ve got a high quality speaker or projector right on your phone. And if you think those sound cool, you’ll love the 3 I brought with me to the game.
The Best moto z2 force Mods for a Cubs Game
1. Hasselblad Truezoom Mod
As I mentioned, the camera on the moto z2 force is already really great – but the Hasselblad Truezoom Mod makes it even better! It also makes your phone actually look like a camera which is pretty cute ? It features a 10x optical zoom, and we couldn’t get over how close we could get without the photo becoming super pixelated. I was so
excited that I could take awesome pictures of the players and a close up of the 7th inning stretch without taking a fancy camera out!
2. Moto Turbopower Pack Mod
We’ve all had those days when we’re using our phone constantly and it runs out of battery while we’re out and about. It’s happened to me so much that I bought a portable charger to carry around with me. But of course, Motorola decided to make it way easier than that and they created the Moto Turbopower Pack Mod. It magnetically snaps to the back of your phone and even though it barely weighs a thing, it can give you a full extra DAY of battery life. No need to worry about your phone dying mid-game with this around!
3. Polaroid Insta-Share Printer Mod
Saved the best for last! I’m still not over how amazing this Polaroid Insta-Share Printer mod is! Once it’s in place, all you have to do is take a photo or select one from your camera roll, and then send it to print right out of the back of your phone. I showed exactly how it comes out on my instagram stories last night – and it’s saved in my Chicago Highlights if you want to see it in action! Seriously, the coolest feature ever.
Do any of you have a Motorola phone?
Have you thought about getting the moto z2 force? And if so, have you tried any of these mods?! Adam and I already want to order more paper for the Polaroid Insta-Share Printer Mod – we’re obsessed!
