Here are the pregnancy safe skincare products I’ve been using and loving so far!
If you’ve been here a while, you know that I love my skincare. Because I haven’t ventured into the world of Botox or other cosmetic treatments, I’ve really relied on quality products at home to keep my skin looking as youthful and healthy as I can.
But when I got pregnant, I realized I needed to go through my collection and figure out what was safe to continue using until the baby arrives. I knew that retinol was out of the question (goodbye for now A+ Retinoid Serum!) but what else?! I had no clue!
Google told me a few things, like I should stop using my trusty LED mask because there isn’t enough research about it 😭 But for everything else, I found an app called Little Bean that is super helpful! All you do is take or upload a picture of the ingredient list and it will tell you if there are any harmful ingredients in that product.
I also like that it categorizes them into high risk, medium risk, and low risk categories. It also describes what the potentially harmful ingredient is, as well as tips and suggestions for other ingredients to look for. It’s amazing!

If I could convince you to buy one thing, IT SHOULD BE THIS. Nothing has ever made my skin feel cleaner or smoother. Instead of a liquid, it comes in a powder form that you add to wet hands to create a creamy lather. I know it’s expensive, but this formula means that the bottle lasts forever. It’s exfoliating but also calming, it takes most makeup off, and my skin just loves it. Cannot rave about it enough.
Tula Fragrance Free Cleanser
If you’re in the market for a more standard makeup-removing cleanser, Tula has been my go-to for years. I love that they came out with a fragrance free option just in time for my pregnancy!

I’ve let go of a lot of my favorite face oils and serums, but I still use this one to help brighten, even skin tone, fight signs of aging, and hydrate my skin. It also works really well with a gua sha!

A lot of resurfacing products have ingredients that the Little Bean app says to stay away from, but this one is fair game! It’s a refreshing spray that smooths, protects, firms, and balances the skin.
Ilia The Base Face Milk
I was gifted this product a while back and I am going to use every last drop of it. It has the silkiest lightweight texture and it works to hydrate, reduce redness, smooth texture and strengthen the skin barrier. It’s LOVELY.

I’ve been using theses pimple patches for years so I was thrilled when I found out that they’re safe to use during pregnancy too! Luckily, I haven’t had a ton of breakouts, but when I have a pesky one, I pop a patch on overnight and it makes a huge difference.
OSEA Atmosphere Protection Cream
I first discovered OSEA because of their body oil (it’s AMAZING) but I have also fallen in love with this facial moisturizer. Not only is it hydrating, but it’s also clinically proven to create a barrier against environmental pollutants and rebalance your skin’s microbiota. So cool.
EltaMD UV Daily Broad -Spectrum SPF 40 – 20% off with code CHEERS
I like a few different sunscreens, but this particular one doesn’t have any harmful ingredients according to my Little Bean app – and it’s GOOD. Along with SPF 40, hyaluronic acid helps plump your skin and micronized zinc and ocinoxate shield your skin from UVA/UVB rays to help prevent signs of aging. But most importantly, it’s not greasy, it blends easily, and there’s no white cast. WIN!
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm
Truthfully, I thought this product was a little overhyped when I first got it… but it’s grown on me a lot. First, I love that it doesn’t have any harmful ingredients, especially considering that it’s on my lips. It’s also cruelty free and very hydrating. I think the vanilla beige color was underwhelming to me at first, but it’s also supposed to be sheer so that one’s on me ;) I want to try Cherry or Poppy next!
