Happy Friday everyone! This has been a WEEK. If you saw this instagram, you might have gathered that I wore pretty much ALL my “hats” this week. It’s been slightly overwhelming… but I just keep reminding myself that (1) I’m the dummy saying yes to everything and (2) most of it is SO fun, how could I say no?!
Regardless, keeping up with a busy schedule and long to do list is tough. For example, I set my alarm yesterday with every intention of going to 7am yoga and kick starting my day. Of course, I snoozed through until 7:10 and missed the class – ugh! But on days like that, I’ve stopped beating myself up and instead moved on to Plan B: an at-home workout and Naked’s Kale Blazer Smoothie. BOOM.
I prioritize “me” time in any way I can because I strongly believe that the better YOU are, the better you can be there for others. This includes exercise and (of course, you guys already know this) healthy eating. But the fact is, strolling into juiceries in the middle of the afternoon, or even making yourself a big Kale Salad isn’t always realistic when can’t seem to catch a minute – but everyone has time to grab a healthy option out of the fridge as they head out the door!
Ok but really, this stuff is legit. It’s got cucumber, spinach, celery, oranges, apples, ginger, lemon and (of course) KALE! So much goodness in one bottle!
Now – Kale is great, but you might be wondering “what else can I do to get myself ready to conquer the world?“
Well, whenever I don’t have time for a full class, I try to carve out at least 20 minutes to move my body. Luckily, we live in 2016 and there are millions of fitness videos and tutorials online – here are a few of my favorite at home workouts:
I found this smoothie at the new Mariano’s in NewCity, but you can check to see what stores carry it near you using this tracker. You can also tweet any questions you have directly to the one and only Kale on Twitter! This oh so powerful vegetable will be mysterious no more 🙂
Have a great weekend!!
