Why I’m Excited to Transition to Fall (+ my fave twist front top!)
Good morning, friends! Sorry for the radio silence on the blog here! I wanted to have a few posts ready to go live while I was away in Finland, but life got in the way of that a bit. Hopefully you still had fun following along with my trip, though! We had the best time and I cannot WAIT to go through all my photos and write my travel guides for you guys!
There is a lot that I miss about Helsinki already, but one of my favorite aspects was the weather. I’m usually never in a rush for summer to end, but the mild crisp temps in Helsinki made me so excited for Fall. While the temps definitely shifted a lot, most of the time they were somewhere between 63-73. AKA ideal early Fall ?
This forecast was a little tricky to pack for, but it was kind of fun to pull out a bunch of my purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! For example, on a cooler day, I wore this soft pullover with jeans – and when it warmed up, I tucked it into a cute teal skirt.
All in all, the whole trip made me way more excited for Chicago to cool off a bit. And now I’m actually excited to start looking for transitional pieces (like this twist front top) that we can all wear when there’s a high of 70 and when it’s legitimately cold outside… because we all KNOW that’s coming sooner than we’d like!
Shop my outfit:
Twist Front Top: BP. (Only $49 – wearing a size XS.) | Shorts: Treasure & Bond (my exact pair is sold out, but I love this brand – so comfy and affordable!) | Sunglasses: Loft | Bag: c/o Vera Bradley (this exact one is old, but I love this small tan one, too!) | Lip Balm: Dior (the balm reacts to your lips to enhance your natural color – it’s amazing!) | Necklace: Vrai & Oro | Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell |
This particular twist front top is probably my favorite purchase from the Nordstrom sale. As soon as I put it on, I knew it was a yes – without a DOUBT. The deep-v and twist make it feel a little bit more special and sexy than your typical sweater. But don’t worry, it’s still cozy! I also love that it’s versatile enough to wear with ripped shorts and sandals or sleek black pants and heels. Yeah, there’s a chance you’ll be seeing this a lot the next few months…
