Hello my petite friends! It’s no secret that finding the perfect jeans for petites can be really difficult. There are only a few stores that carry jeans specifically for petites… and sometimes they just don’t have what you’re looking for! On top of that, buying petite friendly jeans online can involve a lot of guessing. Luckily, I’m here to help you out! I’ve scoured Nordstrom petite jeans options and found 4 pairs that work for my height (5’2″) to share with you.
The biggest piece of advice I can give you beyond this post is to look for inseam lengths in the descriptions. They aren’t always there or 100% accurate – but if they are there, it’s a great way to gauge how long the jeans will be on you. For example, I usually look for inseams between 24-27″. Of course if you are shorter or taller than me, you might want to adjust that range. Also, pay attention to the inseams on jeans you already own and love! That’s a great marker too.
Are these a part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
While these exact pairs are not a part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, some are on sale in different washes and/or there are similar styles on sale from the same brands. Don’t worry – I’ll talk through all of that with you below! And don’t forget to mark your calendars if you plan on shopping the sale. Early Access varies based on your Nordy Club Status. Icons can start shopping on July 6th, Ambassadors on July 7th, Influencers (not that kind!) on 9th, and it opens to the public on July 15th. Your status depends on how much you spend at Nordstrom each year – hence why the “Influencer” tier doesn’t mean what you think it does! Instead it’s based on how much money you spent at Nordstrom last year, not how much of a following you have on social media.
You can apply to be in The Nordy Club by signing up to be a card member or a regular member. This allows you to earn 1 point per $1 spent at Nordstrom, in addition to free alterations, events, and early access to their annual sale. You also get a $60 bonus “note” (aka reward/credit) once you’re approved for your Nordstrom card.
Now let’s dive in!
4 Nordstrom Petite Jeans
I got these jeans a few months ago and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. The exact wash I’m wearing above is not on sale and they are definitely pricey – but the quality is excellent and they’ve quickly become one of my favorite pairs. Also, a different wash without distressing is included in the NSale for nearly 35% off!
These straight leg jeans are a heavier weight without a ton of stretch so I went with a size 27. The style is really on trend right now which is great for dressing up or dressing down. Different retailers list different inseams for these which is annoying – so I pulled out a tape measurer! My pair has a 26″ inseam and they hit right under my ankle. Again, I am 5’2″!
Ummm where have these jeans been all my life?! I am in LOVE! This light wash is not on sale but they’re only $108 which I think is a great deal for the fit and quality. That being said, this distressed pair is marked down to $69.90 and dark wash is marked down to $64.90 for the NSale!
There’s no mistaking where this style got it’s “ribcage” name – it’s a TRUE high waisted style with a rise of 12″. If you get nervous to wear cropped tops because you don’t want to show too much skin, this is a great style to try. They have a 27″ inseam which is full length on me (again, I’m 5’2″), but there’s nothing on the bottom on the pant so if you’re shorter than me, they would be easy to tailor. I wouldn’t call these wide leg jeans but they do have a wider straight leg than the other jeans I tried. I got a 27×27 since they are a stiff denim, and I am impressed with how comfortable they are and how well they hug my curves. BIG fan.
This is my first time trying Kut from the Kloth and I am super impressed! This exact pair is $94 at full price, but a cuffed version of the same style along with a frayed version are marked down to $65.99 for the Anniversary Sale. They also have a TON of other styles in the sale – definitely worth perusing through all of them.
The style that I got has a 26.5″ inseam and the distressing actually hits my short legs in great spots! They are also REALLY comfortable with a ton of stretch. Full squat test approved and everything! I got a size 2 which fit perfectly so I’m inclined to tell you to size down since I’ve been more of a 27 than a 26 in other jeans recently.
Also, if you prefer skinny jeans, they have a slightly different “Fab Ab” version with a skinny leg opening at the bottom. A few of them even come in petite sizing, too!
I didn’t even know that Nordstrom carried Mango until I found these jeans! I’ve shopped on Mango’s website before, but it’s nice to know that I can get their stuff at Nordstrom and earn points! It doesn’t look like any of their merchandise is a part of the Anniversary sale but these jeans are only $59.99 full price!
Out of all of the ones I ordered to try, this is definitely the most office appropriate pair. I usually think dark washes are the best bet for workwear, and I love that this pair is still so classic. There isn’t an inseam listed in the description, but because they are called cropped jeans, I figured they were worth a shot! As you can see, they are pretty much full length on me so I’d expect that on most petite frames.

I am still coming up with my game plan for the Anniversary Sale, but I definitely plan on covering it more once it’s actually shoppable! In the meantime, I took a peek through the preview that went live today and found a few of my personal favorites and options that look like great deals. Right off the bat, in addition to these jeans I talked about, I have a few other suggestions!
First, these pajamas are so soft and comfortable, and they also come in a pants version and a cropped pant/tee version. I was also THRILLED to see my travel weekender and backpack included in this sale! Both are seriously amazing and a steal at full price, let alone these sale prices.
I still have a lot more work to do on this subject, but keep an eye out here and my LTK page for more guides to help you find the best items included this year! In other words, I’ll look through all of it so you don’t have to 🙂
