Nordstrom Sale Goes Public Today!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially open to the public today!! Woooo! If you’ve been eyeing anything from my last post, today is the day to pull that trigger. I tried to reel myself in this year, and to be honest, I think I’m going to place another order to really take advantage of these prices. That being said, I really wanted to focus on items I could wear now, or soon. Are there amazing sweater options? Yes. Do I need the same sweater in 5 different colors? No. It totally depends what’s in your closet!

I started with this killer one piece swimsuit. It’s perfect for friend’s bachelorette weekend in Wisconsin next Friday, especially since it’s a part of the sale! I ordered a 6, because there’s nothing worse than trying to squeeze yourself into a bathing suit ? The fit is great, but it’s definitely a sexy one piece… and I’m not complaining! I paired it with this flowy and super versatile maxi skirt (XS) to tone down that low neckline a little. Love both so much!

Next, I decided to order this James Perse dress because Everday Pursuits raves about his dresses. She got this one, but it seemed too long for me… but now I kinda want to try it. The material is super soft and really hugs your curves. It’s almost like the perfect mix of sexy and comfortable!

This floral dress isn’t a part of the sale, but these booties are! I always struggle with finding the right booties to wear with dresses in the fall, and these totally fit the bill! There’s a small heel, but nothing crazy. They’re super comfortable. The color is beautiful in person. Yes yes yes!

And then I rounded out my order with a new strapless bra and my favorite Hanky Panky thongs. If you’ve never tried Hanky Panky’s, now is the time! I know photos of undies might be a little taboo, but they are seriously THE BEST. Stock up now! And lastly, even though they aren’t a part of the sale, I added the magic Acne Eliminating Pads by Dr. Dennis Gross to my order because, well… they are magical. Honestly, nothing has ever worked as well as these. I can be prone to breakouts when I’m stressed, and these nip them right in the bud. The best.

To be honest, I’m glad I played it safe at first, but I don’t think I fully took advantage of the sale. Now that it’s gone public, I’m thinking about placing another order with OTK boots, a sweater or two, a faux leather jacket, and maybe a pair of jeans. What are you getting this year??
