Pear, Gorgonzola, and Arugula Flatbread
Pear and gorgonzola are a match made in heaven. So why not have them for dinner?
Seriously. Make this tonight.
Here’s how you make it! Serves 2.
Ingredients
1/2 pizza dough
1 pear
gorgonzola cheese
arugula
1/2 lemon
1 tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper
—
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
Buy a packaged pizza dough at the store and cut it in half. (You can usually freeze the other half.) Stretch it out into a flatbread shape and place it on a floured sheet pan or pizza stone.
Thinly slice a pear.
Line them up on the dough.
Sprinkle gorgonzola cheese over that. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes.
While that is baking, take out your arugula. Cut a lemon in half and squeeze over the arugula.
Add the olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss.
Does your kitchen smell amazing?! The flatbread is probably done…
The cheese should be melty, the pears tender, and the crust golden.
The arugula goes right on top.
How gorgeous is that?!
Cut yourself a slice. It may be messy to eat, but it’s definitely worth it.
Enjoy!
