Quick Scottsdale Recap
As most of you know, I spent a few days in Scottsdale last weekend and it was SO lovely! To be honest, we didn’t stay at a hotel (hey Airbnb!) and I was so “off duty” that I didn’t even pack my DSLR camera… but since I got a bunch of requests for a recap post, I thought I’d oblige. We flew out there for a wedding, but besides lounging by the pool, here’s what we did in the area!
On Friday morning, the boys golfed at TPC Scottsdale. Apparently it’s pretty hard, really beautiful, and kind of famous? (Can you tell I’m not a golfer? ?) While they were off doing that, the other girls and I went to hike the Cholla Trail at Camelback Mountain. I definitely wouldn’t say it was easy like some of the internet says, but it was really nice to get out and move our bodies a bit. The photo above is one of the views! Gorgeous!
And if we’re being real, one of the reasons we went on the hike was to earn the tacos and margaritas we planned on eating after! We ended up sitting on the patio at The Mission in Old Town Scottsdale and it definitely lived up to the hype. I had a Cucumber Jalapeno Margarita and Butternut Squash Tacos. Yes, I got vegetarian tacos and no, I’m not crazy. They were SO GOOD. Fresh hand pressed corn tortillas, roasted butternut squash, spicy black bean sofrito, cumin, poblano, pickled jalapeno and cotija cheese? Yes please!
Later that night, we went to the Welcome Party at The Scott. Even though we only saw it after dark, the property was absolutely stunning. Wouldn’t mind staying there on a future trip ? I also got to debut my new off the shoulder dress that I’m completely obsessed with. Not only is it comfortable, but it’s extremely versatile, too. Highly recommend!
On Saturday, we soaked up the sun for a good portion of the day, before heading to the wedding at El Chorro. The bride is the founder of Clementine Studios, so when I say every detail was perfection, every detail was perfection. Seriously, her work is stunning – check out her site and/or instagram ASAP! The whole wedding really reminded me of my brother’s wedding, so it made me laugh when Ali texted me to tell me they considered that venue before they decided on Palm Springs! Small world.
The mountains in the background didn’t hurt either. Swoon! Also, yes this dress is still sold out – but now it’s available in a FLORAL PRINT that is absolutely beautiful! Yes, you need it!!
Have you guys been to Arizona recently? What should I do if/when we go back?!

My husband and I just came back from a week in Sedona, and we absolutely loved it! Definitely worth the trip!

I really want to spend some time in Sedona next time I’m out there!
