Hey, Saint Laurent
Top: Lovers & Friends | Sunglasses: Calvin Klein | Bag: Saint Laurent c/o Trendlee | Skirt: Madewell | Shoes: M.Gemi

If you’ve seen me this week and asked how my birthday was, my response was probably “It was the BEST!” I honestly can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a birthday so much – and not just the day, but the whole WEEKEND! Color me spoiled, right?!
One of my very best friends decided to fly out to Chicago for a quick trip to celebrate with me at the Beyonce concert and brunch at Summer House. (Is she not the best ever?! My HEART!) As if I wasn’t already on cloud nine, the rest of the weekend continued to be just as sweet as that day. Well maybe not JUST as sweet – we can’t ALL be Beyonce 😉
Without giving you my whole weekend itinerary, there was something else that brightened up my weekend – this Saint Laurent Bag! I think I gasped when I opened it – it is seriously dreamy, guys. I’ve never owned anything that costs (anywhere near) this much, so it was so fun that Trendlee loaned it to me! For those of you who haven’t heard about Trendlee, it’s an awesome site that sells authentic pre-owned luxury handbags – we’re talkin Hermes, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Celine… and even though these bags are pre-owned, mine looked BRAND. NEW. While I’m not financially ready to make an investment of this caliber, it is nice to know that when/if I am, I can get a gorgeous pre-owned in excellent condition for less than retail on Trendlee.
When it came to styling, I really wanted to focus on a few different price points – so the rest of my outfit is much more affordable. These shoes definitely still fall in an “expensive” category (at least in my world), but they’re also such an amazing value. I’ve been drooling over M. Gemi since they first launched, and I think it’s so cool that they are making shoes the old school way in small factories in Italy (just like bigger and more expensive designers like Valentino) – but because they don’t sell them through department stores, they are the fraction of the price. I know I know, $250 for shoes still isn’t cheap, but the quality is beautiful and they feel so special. When you want a nice reliable shoe, I would pick these over other designers/brands in the same price range any. day.
As for the rest of the outfit – it’s all under $100! I already know I’m going to live in this denim skirt all summer long. It’s super lightweight and I love that you can easily dress it up for margaritas or dress it down for a trip the grocery store. Totally versatile.
Seriously, these shoes are so pretty in real life. I already want another pair…
Buh bye pretty bag. I loved you and I’ll miss you!
BIG thanks to Ali B Photography for these photos!! You’re the best!
Do any of you own any investment bags? Was it worth it? I’d love to know your thoughts!
