Sunday Spotlights 25
Happy Sunday, friends! I am currently finishing up this post with my homemade gingerbread latte (recipe coming soon!) and Luna sleeping on top of me despite the fact that she’s the one who woke me up ? Somehow, I don’t mind as much when we can turn the tree lights and fire on though!
This is a crazy time of year, and a part of me is actually really grateful that I don’t have to juggle work with tons of social engagements. Does anyone else feel that way? Don’t get me wrong, I will be ready to attend holiday parties with BELLS ON next year – but since I’m trying to reach some financial goals that seemed completely out of reach when the world shut down in the spring, I am okay with unwinding at home at the end of a long day. But maybe that’s also just me trying hard to find something good about dealing with a global pandemic for the better part of a year/during the best time of the year? Who knows?!
Sunday Spotlights 25
The Always Pan sale may be over, but now Our Place is having a sale on their other items! Right now, you can get 4 glasses, 4 bowls, and 4 plates for just $109 with code TAKE25! They’re also offering 25% off individual items with the same code if you don’t need that whole set. I have the 4 clear glasses and 4 green glasses and we LOVE them. We also have 4 of their porcelain plates that we pull out for special occasions – and I like to shoot on them, too! I especially love that this BIPOC female-founded small business makes everything with sustainability and ethical practices in mind. So awesome.
After watching Emily in Paris on Netflix, I was obsessed with finding a pink coat to spark joy this winter. I struck out at J.Crew… but on Cyber Monday, I found the cutest pink coat from Gap! Can’t wait for it to arrive!
My winter booties were my bestseller during Cyber week – and now they’re marked down to just $87!!!
I found this article really interesting – it shows you roughly where you’ll be in line for the COVID vaccine. Such a good reminder that even though we’ve had good news in that department, we’ve still got aways to go. Stay vigilant – keep wearing masks and washing hands!
LOVED this piece my friend Carly wrote about why building a business rooted in humanity is the only way forward.
Loved this podcast that discussed the way we think about productivity vs. laziness.
Did anyone else watch Venita Aspen on Southern Charm?!
That’s one of my favorite guilty pleasure reality shows, but I feel way less guilty now that she’s on it! I loved that they took the time to talk about Black Lives Matter and real issues, besides just who is dating who ?
I just found out that Sephora is having another sale! VIB Members can use code 2020SAVE to get $20 off of your order of $75+! You can read all about my Sephora favorites in this post, but I’d definitely recommend this resurfacing serum I got during the last sale. I also HIGHLY recommend getting this lip mask if you haven’t already – it is my secret weapon to avoid chapped lips in the winter. Truly the best, and lasts forever!
The most common COVID-19 myths debunked by the Mayo Clinic. A good thing to keep bookmarked in case you have to debate with an anti-masker or conspiracy theorist.
Madewell is still offering 30% off, in case you missed out on Cyber Monday! I’m a big fan of their jeans and sweaters, and I love that they are committed to sustainability!
I finally started Love Life on HBO Max with Anna Kendrick and I loooove it. Highly recommend!
If you’re looking for personalized ornaments, Tis The Season Ornaments is owned by a reader’s family and they are SO CUTE! She also made a discount code for you guys – just enter LSL for 20% off. (I also saved the stories about the ornaments I ordered to my Gift Guide highlight if you missed them!)
